Clearly those hoping to vanquish the powers of the enemy need to carry the Gospel into hostile territory making face to face encounters demonstrating the power of God.

Today’s article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. Equipping your feet in preparation for the gospel of peace is the next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier. In the First Century when this was first penned by the Apostle Paul without the use of feet to carry man to the furthest parts of the Roman Empire the Gospel of Jesus Christ would have never left Jerusalem. Clearly those hoping to vanquish the powers of the enemy needed to carry the Gospel into hostile lands exercising the use of their feet. Along with the feet came the whole person not just sharing empty words, but powerful words made manifest through their holy demeanor. Their body language came aglow through the Holy Spirit, as their spiritual fruit gloriously ripened and their loving actions were demonstrated. In a dark and callous world it was a breath of fresh air for those who were suffocating under the weight of confusion caused by the devil. Although, we live in a different world were the gospel can be shared over cyberspace, closed circuit TV, and print media it will never truly take the place of a face to face encounter, where people can not only hear the gospel presentation, but observe it in the life of the one delivering it.
