There is a lot of discussion these days about Satan. Nearly every Christian is complaining about their struggles with Satan. They are correct about one thing. Satan appears to be working overtime, as he knows his time is short. Most Christians believe that we are indeed living in the last of the Last Days. They don’t need to go far to come to this conclusion, all they need to do is look out their window. They say keep an eye on the wildlife and they can give you a whole new perspective of what’s going on with our environment. All wildlife tend to be the first to escape a worsening situation or simply disappear. Anyone with eyes to see, they have not missed the sudden disappearance of many of our wildlife including many of the smaller insects. If you venture away long enough from your cell phones, social media platforms, and virtual games you too will see what is happening. The Sun feels like it’s getting much hotter causing many to complain about being burnt or the brightness so intense that shelter is sought immediately. Although this is only the beginning, many believers are already casting blame in the wrong direction. We have all seen our share of devastating fires torching whole cities, and unimaginable weather patterns from golf-ball size hail to stronger hurricanes and from destructive tornadoes to massive flooding. We have also seen an increase in major earthquakes around the world, but through all of these so-called natural disasters, God’s children are still casting the blame in the wrong direction as we shall explain.
Furthermore, personal accidents seem to be off the charts as Hospital ERs are being overwhelmed. These personal accidents range from accidental falls or the proper operation of machinery to horrible miscalculations causing tragic automobile accidents. Again, we have many of God’s children casting the blame in the wrong direction, which we shall soon explain. We have all had our share of heated debates and arguments. We have all felt the searing burn from iron that was cast deep within our hearts. We have all felt the tension and the struggles of daily life especially when we run into an argumentative spirit or a soul who is no longer listening to God’s emphatic direction. Yes, in all this we have cast our blame in the wrong direction. With all these questions about where to cast that blame, there appears to be a new movement in the midst of us claiming everything is the cause of Satan as if he ruled the entire world. Although there is some truth to this statement, it only applies to non-believers who still rest under his control. For the true born-again Christian, Satan has no absolute control over our lives unless we totally ignore the teachings of the anointed Scriptures. Unfortunately, we are living in a day of lukewarm Christianity or in a day when believers refuse to grow up in Christ. Either way, they will experience the drama and the suffering of Satanic attacks.
If you are a lukewarm Christian then you have grown accustomed to integrating the world’s teachings with the teachings of the anointed Scriptures. These powerful teachings from the world, orchestrated by the powers of darkness, are readily available on all social media platforms, television, and YouTube. The danger of integrating the world’s teachings is it waters down the powerful teachings of God in the anointed Scriptures. When this happens it creates the lukewarm Christian and the believers who refuse to grow up in Christ. Again, when this happens then you unknowingly allow Satan to control and diminish your life through one horrific tragedy after another. Dear children, there is a better way. The Bible says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (II Peter 1:3-4). This is a powerful word that says we don’t need to integrate the world’s teachings with God’s eternal wisdom because God knows the moment you do then you will either remain lukewarm or a “babe” unable to take solid food needed for Spiritual growth (Hebrews 5:11-6:3). Solid food goes well beyond just reading and quoting Scripture. We must apply the Word to our lives by being doers of the Word and not just hearers (James 1:22).
If you remain a lukewarm Christian or a babe unwilling to grow, then you allow the unknown spirits to interfere and control your life. So, you blame everything on Satan like you had nothing to do with it, but you did more than you are willing to recognize. If we grow up in Christ becoming doers of the word, then we will see the many things Satan can do to an immature believer, and we will also see the many things we can do through Spiritual growth that will repel Satan. We will in time recognize the areas that Satan is more prone to attack, like our unwillingness to forgive and forget. In fact, the Bible tells us to settle our disputes before we go to bed, because if we don’t then Satan will keep the trespass alive in our mind until a molehill becomes a mountain (Ephesians 4:26-27). Moreover, if you fail to truly forgive every trespass in your heart, then it puts you in a very dangerous position of not being forgiven by God, which can have horrific consequences. Dear children, as we grow up in Christ, we learn the many wiles of the devil and specifically how to keep Satan at a distance, unable to touch us any longer. Although Satan is a great quoter of the Bible, we too can quote it back to him in context as we follow only the anointed Scriptures. I have written extensively about this in my second published book, “Stand Firm, Godly Counsel for the Last Days” (consider getting a copy today from my bookstore).
Furthermore, if God is allowing Satan to attack you by causing you to question your salvation, or your ability to become all that God has destined you for, or question your worthiness, then we must ask God where we have failed. It may be a lack of faith in God’s abilities or some undisclosed secret sins that must be openly confessed. Stop blaming Satan for everything and look within. When you grow up in Christ becoming mature, by coming out of the world, and staying exclusively with God’s anointed word, which includes His 127 commandments in the New Testament, then you will no longer blame everything on Satan. Remember, it’s often our own behavior that allows Satan in our lives to do as he wills. If we follow God exclusively by allowing Him to grow us from one degree of glory to another, then we will truly see that God is in charge and in control of the entire universe. Satan cannot do anything without God allowing it, in the same way that God allowed Satan to test Job in the Old Testament (Job 1:6-12). On the other hand, there are many things in the world where God acts exclusively by sending one plague and woe after another to open the eyes of fallen humanity. Please dear children do not attribute these acts to Satan who is on a very short leash and not allowed to do anything without God’s permission.
As mature believers in Christ we know exactly how to deal with Satan even if we must first repent, then use God’s powerful words that say, “Begone Satan in the name of Christ,” which mature believers never make a show of but often do it under their breath. Remember, dear children, Satan is truly on a short leash held strongly by our Almighty God. This will give you a better understanding that God is truly in control of everything, which means if you grow up becoming all that God wants, then you will face nothing too difficult, and Satan will have nothing to do with you because you are always happy, happy in the Lord. And as far as the rest of fallen humanity, as mature believers, we must speak openly and boldly about how God is intensifying His wrath on this world. Yes, all those so-called natural disasters that we spoke of earlier must not be attributed to Satan or his powers of darkness. I have previously written about the seven trumpets, the three woes, and the final seven bowls of God’s wrath from the Book of Revelation to demonstrate God’s intervention into His world since the First Century. God is not oblivious to the current wars and the approaching global conflicts in the world. We must tell the fallen world that they are experiencing the consequences of their many sins and stop blaming everything on Satan. God is in control.
The Gospel Presentation
We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, which explains the many difficulties that you are currently facing in your life. Well, I have good news, God has solved that problem by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin to show us the way to a beautiful new life in Christ. God has dealt with all of our sins past, present, and future by having His son pay the debt for our sins. Jesus Christ willingly went to the Cross in our stead by allowing all of the world’s sins to be placed upon Him as a sacrificial Lamb. As Christ hung on the Cross, the wrath of God was poured out on Him to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus Christ died on the Cross and was buried for three days. On the third day, Christ arose from death to life everlasting. The good news is if we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, then we will be forgiven for all of our sins and receive the Holy Spirit. The Spirit will lead us into all truth helping us in the transformation process of putting off the old life, allowing the old sin nature to die with Christ, and then putting on our new life in Christ by being raised with Christ to everlasting life. You can accept Christ today by confessing your sins to Him through a simple prayer asking Him to forgive you and make you into a new creation filled with the Holy Spirit. If you have done that, then you have just begun the greatest journey of your life that leads to heaven and eternal life. Welcome to the Kingdom.
