Prepare Now for the Coming Persecution

If you believe that God will allow you to escape the coming persecution, then why did Jesus Christ bother telling us how we should prepare? So, contrary to what many think, we still need to prepare, because it can come unexpectedly with little warning. It will be so quick that most will be caught off guard. If we are not prepared by utilizing the clear instructions from His Word then it will be a most grievous occasion, sending most into full panic mode, horrifying fear and lasting depression. So, let’s look at the anointed words of Christ in the Bible and hide them deep within our hearts. Instructions to be used when the time comes. The current direction of this country and the world makes persecution very probable against the true believers in Christ. Or the faithful remnant, who hold to the exclusiveness of Christianity, the belief in the transformation in Christ, and commitment to sharing the Gospel to all people in every nation. The religious type beast or the false prophet will require that everyone worship the one in power and adhere to the doctrines of the established church. Failure to do so will result in immediate persecution of all true believers in Christ. I just wrote last week about the Catholic Pope and the Islamic faith signing a document to form a new world order of peace among all world religions, claiming that God is the same in each religion.

The extent of this persecution will be beyond what most of us can imagine. Especially this will be true when we realize that our own brother, either Christian or biological, will betray us to the authorities to the point of actually having us put to death (See Matthew 10:21). You might ask how can this happen? How could they be so brainwashed that they believe that we are the problem, that our interpretation of Scripture is false, and that we are wrong to stand against a peace-loving world that accepts everyone? In their eyes, we are beyond horrible for not accepting that all religions worship the same god. That we need to be persecuted to death because we have rejected the homosexual, the transgender, and the women’s choice to have an abortion. Don’t we see this today in the liberal Christian community who are already attacking our beliefs? Perhaps what’s even more disheartening is that members of our own family will rebel against us for our beliefs. They simply will not understand why we can’t accept the contemporary way of looking at things. We will seem old fashion in our thinking, but what’s most alarming is that they too are willing to have their own parents and children put to death (See Matthew 10:21). Jesus Christ continues by saying that we will be hated by all men, because of our relationship with Him.

The Bible says, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 10:22). Well, that is exactly why we are writing this article to help you to know how to endure to the end. Let’s be clear right now we can never stand firm in our own strength. Even with the principles that I share with you today, it will not help unless you allow Christ to do it, to work in and through you. We must remember that Christ is the one that is really being persecuted. The Apostle Paul understood this well. The Bible says, “For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ” (II Corinthians 1:5). As true believers in Christ whenever we suffer for the cause of Christ, by advancing His gospel, or doing the work of the ministry, or simply standing for the truth, then in reality, Christ is also suffering with us. He continues to suffer with His beloved Church. That’s good to remember, the next time we come against one of His beloved children. It’s important to understand this truth if we want to stand firm against the persecution. In so doing, then we will allow Christ to take charge, by leading us in both our behavior and conversation with our persecutors. We must believe that He is standing with us in the midst of our worst persecution. We must believe that Christ will not abandon us.

It is clear from Scripture that persecution will come against the faithful remnant from a false religion. They can even claim to be the true faith in Christ. The Bible says, “But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the counsels, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles” (Matthew 10:18). Although this Holy Scripture was applicable to the early Christians it is still applicable for today and especially for the end time persecution. As Church history proves, nearly every persecution was done at the hands of the church and other world religions, namely Islam. It’s absolutely essential that we know well what we believe in from our own study of the Holy Scriptures as we were led by the indwelling Spirit. We must allow God to write His Words upon our hearts especially in areas that will come under attack by the false or lukewarm church. They will attack the exclusiveness of Christianity (See John 14:6). They will attack the Biblical doctrine of our transformation in Christ (See II Corinthians 5:17). They will attack many of the commands of God, especially the holy matrimony between one man and one woman; and, the sanctity of life in the womb of the mother. They will attack our belief in the Great Commission to preach the gospel to the entire world even if their people follow a false religion (See Matthew 28:19-20).

So, how do we prepare for the persecution? The Bible says, “But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak” (Matthew 10:19). Wow! So, we don’t think through what we are going to say or how we are going to say it? Correct. There is a reason for that, but first let me reiterate that God’s Holy Word must be in our hearts. We must know what we believe and believe what we know. For the indwelling Spirit will pull upon that information along with new words spoken directly by Him. After forty years in the ministry from reading countless books and studying in-depth the Holy Scriptures while struggling with the original languages and the opinion of many learned men, I have concluded that without Christ opening my mind every day through the Holy Spirit then I know nothing, nor can I speak His truth. So, no matter how much we think we know, we must wait upon Christ to speak through us, as I do currently in my morning prayers, that I have posted online for the past three years. This will be absolutely essential as we face our persecutors.

We have noticed how most people react to confrontation or impending danger. It appears that the adrenaline level is increased exponentially as the danger approaches. Often times without thinking, hostile words and actions are called upon more as an automatic response to defend one’s character or one’s self from any kind of attack. As Christians, this should not be so, who believe that Jesus Christ is present with us. Especially so, if we are defending the Gospel or our Christian character. The Bible says, “For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you” (Matthew 10:20). So, let me encourage you to calm down and wait upon the Lord before you say one word back to your persecutors. Clear your mind of your automatic response. Trust Christ to give you the correct verbal response believing that He will speak through you. Dear children, Jesus Christ will speak through you when you are brought before your persecutors. There are many examples throughout Church history where Christians have brought their persecutors to tears of repentance because they could not withstand their words, words actually spoken by Christ through them. There is great power in His words. Amen

Lying, Deception, and Distraction in the Last Days (Video)

Almost everyone is doing it, that is lying and wearing their face of deceit, but for God’s beloved children it should not be so. It’s as though we have turned back the clock nearly two thousand years, when Pontius Pilate asked Jesus Christ, “What is truth?” (See John 18:38) Once again, the world has sunk into the depth of immorality not only where they were blind to the truth, but also where few actually spoke the truth. Everything was lying deception and wearing the mask of deceit. Deceitfulness ruled the day. Lying, Deception, and Distraction in the Last Days

The world has gone full circle now, for we have returned once again to those last days, the days of lying deception. As it was before, it has become common place for both our political and religious leaders to speak outrageous lies and wear the mask of deceit. Once again, we discover it’s most difficult to tell when someone is actually telling the truth, even with the rise of the so called “Fact Check” websites. These websites have also been known to take things out of context or bend the truth for their audience. This lying deception has also entered the schools, the news media, and the government changing historical facts, causing us to repeat our same mistakes. Welcome to the 21st Century.

Satan is keeping everyone so busy that they don’t study the whole truth by researching history but spend the majority of their time following the deceptive lies of our age. They can quote the talking points of their professors or the memes from social media but don’t truly understand the history of civilization. They don’t have an in-depth understanding of political theory and ideologies of government, especially the impact of socialism and communism on Christianity. Yet, what we have seen is a dumbing down of education, the news media, and religion. The fallen world gives the population a series of talking points, repeated again and again, never going too deep in historical fact or making a comparative analysis of previous events. While we are chasing the same story being repeated over and over again, the world is being conditioned to think that there is nothing more important to report. All of this so-called news goes through a gatekeeper allowing it to advance the fallen world’s agenda. For example, repeating again and again, the stories of the many killings, highlighting those done by firearms, which advances their agenda on gun control. Another example is all the repeated hateful rhetoric hurled at the President who wants to advance the agenda of his Christian base, whose desire is to stand against the homosexual agenda and the killing of unborn children. And if anyone ever says that there is more to the story that’s not being reported, then they are labeled as a false prophet, an alarmist or even a conspiracy theorist. If we don’t hear the whole truth, then we will remain in bondage.

To understand the truth then we must come to Christ who is the truth. The Bible said, “that Jesus Christ is the truth” and that “truth will set us free” (See John 8:31-32). Simply put if we learn the truth then we will not be led into bondage by the lies and deception of our age but set free. When we come to Christ allowing Him to write His truth on our hearts through the indwelling Spirit then in time, we will develop a Biblical Worldview. To do that we need to understand the history of interpretation of the entire Bible, realizing that much of the accepted Bible interpretation in the modern age has come within the past few hundred years, especially concerning the Second Coming and the Great Tribulation. We need a doctrinal base or systematic theology to pull upon and a working knowledge of the whole Word of God to keep us on track and not be led astray. It will also be helpful to understand some of the original language of the source material used in the formation of our modern-day Bibles. The most important thing is learning how to listen to the indwelling Spirit that will confirm all of His truth in the Bible. The Holy Spirit will never contradict His Word, nor will He add to it or subtract from it. Yes, with God’s help we can know the whole truth and the truth will set us free.

When we develop a Biblical Worldview, by coming to the truth, then our eyes will truly be opened. We will see the fight over the border wall, and the shutting down of the government, along with many other things as simply a distraction. The constant infighting among our elected officials and their hurling of insults at one another is another distraction. To attack every word of our current President and run an endless investigation of his affairs and possible collusion with Russia is also a major distraction. They simply do not want you to hear the real truth, so they constantly bombard us with their lies, deception, and distractions. These lies, and distractions are not limited to just the news media but have entered into every other area accessed by fallen humanity. Every social media platform from Snap Chat, Facebook, and Twitter, to Instagram, are all distractions for fallen humanity with some having the greatest evil portrayed for all to see. When you add to it the worldwide web and YouTube then the entire world is being led around by their noses, by Satan, keeping them busy and uninformed. This later distraction has become so accepted that it is now in our public schools, being used as learning tools, shaping the next generation. As we develop our Biblical Worldview by coming to the truth, we will withdraw from every distraction caused by Satan.

With our eyes fully open then we can begin to see God’s plan for our lives. Imagine with me for a moment, if you will, a world without the internet, cell phones, social media platforms, and a news media that only gives the real news for that day without all the distractions. That is the world that Christ wants for you. As we enter into this world without lies, deception, and distractions then we allow God’s Word alone to have its full effect upon us as believers. We see our new life in Christ where the old life no longer has dominion over us. We understand the depth and latitude of our transformation in Christ. We are finally set free. With our eyes fully open we can see the beauty of the world around us apart from all the technology and the constant inward look of selfishness. We no longer feel the need for constant entertainment. We can truly appreciate silence and solitude. We long for those moments with God alone through both prayer and meditation. We can learn to appreciate our connection with other believers in Christ as God works through us to minister to them. We also appreciate their ministry to us through the utilization of Spiritual gifts. Oh, how we long for the new world in Christ.

As we enter into that world by choice then we as believers will have a tremendous effect upon the world. Although ultimately, we cannot change it, we can have an impact on it for good. We must let our voice be heard, even if they don’t have ears to hear. The border wall may keep out the drugs and illegal immigrants, but it will not stop the wrath of God. Until this nation stops killing millions of babies and the approving of homosexuality, then His wrath will continue to pour out on an unrighteous nation. Electric cars and recycling may slow the changing weather, but it will not stop the wrath of God. As long as we teach our children lies about our history by overlooking the human abuses in communist and socialist countries then the wrath of God will continue to pour out on an unrighteous nation. As long as we allow God’s beautiful children to learn their deceptive lies, then His wrath will continue to be poured out on an unrighteous nation. Let us as God’s holy children, come out from among them. The Bible says, “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye  receive not of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4). So, let it be done. Amen

The Third Step to Transformation in Christ is Love (Video)

We have seen in the last article in the series transformation in Christ that understanding and using our unique Spiritual gifts was the second step. Now as God’s Word says, “But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way” (I Corinthians 12:31). Of course, that most excellent way is both a Spiritual gift and a fruit of the Spirit, which I am calling our third step to transformation in Christ.
