The Helmet of Salvation

Today’s article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier is the helmet of salvation. If the devil cannot discourage you with doubt concerning your mission, then he will attack your very salvation. If he can get you to question the assurance of your salvation, then he has stopped you dead in your tracks. You will precede no further because your eyes are now back on self questioning your own salvation. The devil has silenced many Christians this way. Not only have they been silenced, but their spiritual growth has been stunted, and in many respects the transformation process has been halted. Dear friend, you must not let the old devil knock off the helmet of your salvation. Some Christians argue against the assurance of salvation because of what they see in nominal Christians. They question how a person can claim to be saved and act like the devil. They question the assurance of their salvation because they see no spiritual fruit. Indeed, some people do have false assurance because they are not really saved. They may publicly ask Jesus Christ to come into their heart with great joy, join a church, and be baptized. But they are like the ones in the parable told by our Lord where some quickly fell away when trouble or persecution came. There are others who hear the Word but do nothing with it because the worries of this life and deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful (see Matthew 13:21-22). Clearly these people are not Christians, and many of them rest under a false assurance of salvation. Continue reading The Helmet of Salvation

The Shield of Faith

Today’s article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The shield of faith is the next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier. As the Christian soldier goes deep into enemy territory to rescue the perishing the devil will hurl a volley of flaming arrows to discourage you in your pursuit. Upon receiving one of his arrows, you may experience strong emotions of fear, emptiness, aloneness, and doubt that comes in an instant when you least expect it, and then your spirit cries out in anguish begging for someone to listen to your plight. These arrows are all the more destructive in power. They have the ability to pierce and seriously wound the soldier. When the piercing arrows of depression, anger, and fear are filling the air, we must learn to take refuge behind the shield of faith (see Proverbs 30:5).  As we come together as believers, we can link our faith-shields to ward off the devil’s darts. Gun Confiscation a Coming Reality

To understand this topic we must look at the big picture. To get stuck on the particulars of gun control and the heated debate between two opposing sides on the issue will shed little light on things to come. For the Christian he must always look at the big picture to truly understand what humanity is trying to accomplish apart from God. Furthermore, we must never underestimate the intelligence of those in power to achieve the established goal of the evil one who directs their every action. His minions in world leadership will work feverishly toward garnering public opinion through mass media and the charisma of public servants to unveil his plans step by step until they have ushered in a new world without God. Many leaders in times past have attempted to fulfill this vision of a new world by confiscating guns from its citizens, but were overpowered by the forces of righteousness. So what makes our time different? Simply put, the forces of righteousness have greatly diminished with the increase of gross immorality, a mass media that has become experts at shaping public opinion, and a movie industry that has been preparing humanity for years, for a new world free of capitalist and the enslavement of an unseen deity. We will see how this new world will eventually lead to gun confiscation, the enslavement of humanity and the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Continue reading Gun Confiscation a Coming Reality

Christian Persecution

Most Christians will not be persecuted. It’s really quite simple; if Satan has won your heart and allegiance then there is no reason to persecute you. If he has you trusting in his counsel and psychiatric drugs then he has already won your allegiance. If has you accepting other world religions as equal to yours then he has already won your heart. If he has you making room in your faith for homosexuals, the transgender, and every other perversion then he has already won your allegiance and there will be no need to persecute you. I am afraid in the end, there will only be a small minority or faithful remnant, who will not defy the faith, but accept persecution, if captured by those in power. Christian Rebuttal to President Obama’s Speech

This is a Christian rebuttal to President Barack Obama’s speech to the American people from the Oval Office on Sunday night. Mr. President we know what you’re doing. Yes, the one true God of the universe is not blind to your deception. He is not unaware of your ambition to stamp out Christianity as the only path to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. You stated that no matter “what religion you practice, you are equal in the eyes of God and equal in the eyes of the law.” Mr. Obama you are following a very dangerous path by speaking such lies about God. In fact, your words are very similar to those of the Beast who comes in the last days where it, “was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies.” (See Revelation 13:5). To make all religions equal in the eyes of God calls Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God a liar. Yes, Mr. Obama to speak above what God has stated in His Anointed Word elevates you to a position of authority not granted to humanity. To reinterpret the clear teachings of Christ concerning the only path to salvation offered to humanity is clearly blasphemy of the first order. To make God the God of all religions including Islam must be rejected not only on biblical grounds but in good conscious. It is a fearful thing to fall into hands of an angry God who will bring about a just punishment to all those who malign the Name of God. Continue reading Christian Rebuttal to President Obama’s Speech
