Trust in God’s Loving Providence

As we near the end of another year our minds are focused on the future and what it will bring. We may even look back on what we and the world have gone through with a great deal of trepidation. Even a blind man could see the horrible consequences of a world gone mad. Many appear to be on the verge of insanity doing the unthinkable, while others have become slaves to their technology or the free flow of drugs to control the masses. Humanity is in a sad state of affairs as they are being pulled from pillar to post with every tick of the clock. Time has become the new master demanding its allegiance, which is casting humanity further and further into the depth of despair. There is one underlying problem that is leading humanity to self-annihilation. All the governments in the world cannot stop it. All the self helps, and drugs cannot stop it. All the technology and advanced artificial intelligence can’t stop it. Only one thing can, trust. We must learn, once again, how to trust in the loving providence of God. When we do the clicking of the clocks will stop and we will be free at last to understand God’s loving providence for all of His called children. Continue reading Trust in God’s Loving Providence

Anticipating the Glories of Heaven

What is your anticipation of heaven? Most of the western world has been captivated by the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, causing many to ponder their own deaths and the hereafter. Although they may not be vocal about their own coming deaths and their anticipation of heaven, I suggest that many are pondering those thoughts deep within their own hearts. So, I am asking you to pause for a moment of silence, look to heaven, and let us ponder the glories of heaven together. Let us approach the throne of grace together asking our Lord Jesus Christ to show us the unspeakable glories of heaven. As our static existence measured by time no longer exists, we enter into the glories of eternity. We are no longer captive to time and space but set free to experience all of creation in a timeless environment. Can you imagine the glory of not being locked into time, but having the ability to travel to the stars in the blink of an eye? I hope and pray that every believer in Christ has thought much about the glories of heaven and has their own anticipation based on their personal walk with Jesus Christ and Holy Scripture. Revelation Revealed in an Epiphany

I have studied the book of Revelation and taught its truths for 45 years. I have also written and published three books on its timeless truths. Today I will be presenting an amazing overview of the revelation that I received from the hand of God in what I have called an epiphany. I am not certain if I was caught up, had a theophany, or had an epiphany, but I am certain that it was different from anything that I have ever experienced before. For many years I have heard the still small voice of God through the indwelling Spirit, but this last experience was totally different. Typically, the indwelling Spirit will give us the correct words to say or write at a given moment in time. The Holy Spirit can also help us see the depth of Biblical doctrine and have a clearer understanding of Biblical prophecy. We can build our doctrine over time, developing a larger picture of God’s past, present, and future dealings with humanity. However, we don’t often get the big picture all at once, including all of time, which is understandable because we live in the here and now. We live in the present. On the other hand, Christ said that He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning, and the end (Revelation 22:13). He is not locked into time but sees it all, the past, present, and future all at the same time. Continue reading Revelation Revealed in an Epiphany

A Voice Crying in the Wilderness

The Bible says, “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God” (Isaiah 40:3). Most are not what they appear to be. When Christ comes back their masks will be removed, and everything will be revealed. Are you truly ready for that day? Remember, God looks at your heart, your mind, and your soul. He looks at your memories and your every thought that you ever had. He looks at how you spend your days chasing after one opinion and then another. He is fully aware of how much time you have spent on social media, YouTube, entertainment, and your relentless searches on the internet. He knows everything about you as you stand before the King of Glory waiting to be judged for everything that you have done in the body (see II Corinthians 5:10). Now, tell me again that you are ready for His glorious coming in the clouds. The Bible says, “And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3:2). So, let’s talk about getting ready for the coming of Christ who will rapture up the pure Body of Christ, to be caught up to meet Him coming in the clouds. This is a topic we don’t want to quickly pass over. We need to take our time to ensure that we will be ready when Christ returns. Continue reading A Voice Crying in the Wilderness

Being Told What to Think About

The powers of darkness have much more power and authority over our thinking than most people are willing to admit. I have been writing sermons to preach, blog articles, news briefs, and books for many years now as I am led by the Holy Spirit, but one thing I have noticed is that some things have a much greater appeal than others. I wonder if it’s just how the wind is blowing or if there is a much greater force at work leading people to either accept or reject what is being said. I have noticed also that the world can lose interest in a topic or story very quickly even if it’s of great importance. They say that humanity’s retention span is about two weeks. The news outlets and social media platforms are keen on that idea and are quick to develop new interests to pull humanity along giving them new things to pique their interest, giving them new thoughts to control them, to consume their time. As a pastor for many years, I have discovered that many who claim to know and follow the Lord are not much different than the world by always wanting something new to pique their interest. Moreover, I have found that they are always desiring new undiscovered truth instead of understanding the depth of God’s plan for humanity. Continue reading Being Told What to Think About
