The Bible says, “Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth (Luke 18:8b).” The answer is not a lot for most in the later days will allow many things to impede their faith. Although there will be a faithful remnant, I am sure that their faith will be mocked by the world. It will seem inconsistent with reason and against all the established norms of a pagan world. Unlike the faithless who had long given up their faith, they will continue to cry out day and night for God to vindicate them by righteously judging their oppressors. They will continue to cry out asking God to fulfill all His promises, especially the one that does not allow them to be tempted beyond what they can handle (See I Corinthians 10:13). “When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour” (Revelation 8:1). This is a most interesting verse. After the sealing of all true believers in Christ and in the midst of the Great Tribulation everything stops for prayer. This is a worldwide prayer meeting with devastating consequences for those living on the earth. This is more than just a gentle wake-up call that the end is at hand and that we all need to get our spiritual house in order. “The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake” (Revelation 8:4-5). We must conclude that our prayers going up before God have a tremendous effect upon the world in the midst of the Great Tribulation.
