Getting Back on the Path – Transformation

When the world pulls you off track it’s essential to get back on the path that God originally laid out for you. Yes, we all have an original path that God laid out for us since before the foundations of the world. No, we are not mindless automatons. We have all been given a free choice to make the best decisions as we navigate the path that’s laid out before us. We live in a world that has given most people in Western democratic societies a multitude of choices. The extremes are monumental from living a life of simplicity to living a life of hoarding up all the world’s goods and treasures. On the other hand, what concerns us most today, is the extremes in what we believe as the truth and how we apply that truth to our lives. Again modern man is faced with extremes that go well beyond the path that God has laid out for His beloved children. Yet, when God calls His beloved children He puts them on a path of simplicity seeking the simple truth from God’s Word that has the answers for all of life. Dear children, try to remember those days when you first accepted Christ when the simple truth about being forgiven and transformed into a new creation brought such great joy to your life. Let’s get back on the path of simplicity before many of us stray away by following the extremes in the world.

Before we talk about getting back on the path that God has called us to, let’s look briefly at the many things in life that are purposefully designed to get us off the path. When I say purposefully designed, I am specifically talking about Satan and the powers of darkness. Satan knows that a time is coming when he will no longer have dominion over the world. He knows a time is coming when he can no longer lead humanity around by the nose. I firmly believe that the closer we get to the end, the stronger Satan’s grip will become over all of humanity. There is not a day that goes by where Satan does not increase his grip exponentially. Satan’s grip is designed to get us off the path that God wants us to be on, where we can experience the absolute joy of being transformed in Christ. Essentially Satan is attacking our faith and what we believe to be true. For Satan, this has become increasingly easier as the Church and Christians in particular have become more lukewarm. It’s getting more difficult every day for the Christian to know what he believes to be true about his salvation and God’s methodology in growing us from one degree of glory to another. This is caused by their lukewarmness as we shall see.

So, how does Satan lead the Church to become lukewarm? He begins by filling our hearts and minds with the things of this world, which include their beliefs and the things they put their trust in to solve their many problems and the things that open their understanding about life. Instead of turning only to God and the Holy Spirit, they turn to the world to give them the answers for all of life. Have you not seen that on social media, YouTube, and the news media? They are all inundated with everyone’s personal opinion, proclaiming what they believe is the truth about every subject known to man including what we should believe about God. Most of these opinions are laced with half-truths, which are extremely hard to detect without proper discernment from the throne room of God. Couple this with receiving the so-called truth from other world religions, cults, psychology, and philosophies you will have the building blocks to pull you completely off the path that God had ordained for you. God’s truth is simple, but it is powerful if it’s completely understood and applied to your life. God’s truth cannot be properly understood if it’s integrated with the wisdom of the world. Nor can it be useful in your transformation to become all that Christ wants you to be.

Unfortunately, most believers today don’t have the discernment to detect the half-truths from the millions of opinions on all the social media platforms and different video channels like YouTube. These half-truths are developing a lukewarm theology that goes well beyond the simple truth of God’s Holy Word. Here is the problem with integrating the world’s opinions with God’s simple truth, you are left with a bunch of knowledge that doesn’t perform what it was intended to do in the life of the believer. It causes greater confusion casting humanity in one direction, and then another, which is Satan’s design. Satan does not want God’s children to accept the simple truth and apply it to their individual lives. Satan will do everything in his power to keep everyone away from the simple truth of God’s Word. Satan will go so far as to give you the Word, but completely out of context of what is being taught or discussed in the Bible, which is often quoted on Social Media. Furthermore, Satan will do everything he can to give you only Scripture verses to make you feel good about yourself, always believing that God’s unconditional love is totally blind to your sins or your gross immorality. Yes, God’s love is unconditional, but it also requires repentance by putting off the old life. Without putting off the old life through confession, repentance, and a sincere desire to never repeat the trespass, then there can be no Spiritual growth.

To have daily spiritual growth takes a lot of time and a lot of commitment. Again, we see Satan’s design is to rob humanity of their time. He doesn’t much care what you spend your time on as long as it’s not using your time to focus wholly on your spiritual growth. We have been given two things to make our spiritual growth possible. We have been given God’s Word in the Bible and the indwelling Spirit to lead us and help us to apply it to our lives. There are over 127 commandments in the New Testament alone given to God’s children telling them what we should be doing and what we should not be doing. To put these Words in your heart by reading them over and over is only the first step. It is the Spirit’s job to bring those words back to your memory and then to apply those words to your life. This is the key to transformation. Without applying God’s Word by putting off the old life through repentance and putting on the new life by doing the Word, then there is no transformation in Christ. The Bible pulls no punches. For example when the Bible says don’t lie or deceive others, then that’s what must be put out of our lives by never doing it again. And when the Bible says to speak truthfully to one another, then that is something we put into our lives every moment of every day, which is putting on Christ. You can quote Scripture all day long, but if we don’t help ourselves and others to apply it to their lives, then we have done nothing. Remember, dear children, Satan is an expert at quoting Scripture and never applying it to his own life. But we as Christians, are different. We live to become more like Christ every day.

When we first accept Christ as our savior through repentance and agreeing to follow Him every day of our lives we realize that this is just the first step. We learn very quickly the true definition of commitment. We will learn to do things we never thought possible. We learn that with commitment every day we can, through God’s help, put off the old life and put on the new life in Christ. We will be transformed bringing the greatest blessings beyond anything we could have imagined. We will experience the true agape love where we experience God’s love flowing through us to others. We will experience a peace that defies understanding and we will experience joy causing us to be truly happy, happy. We learn the value of commitment when we learn how to truly forgive others and forget the trespass. We learn the value of commitment when we stand boldly against Satan in our minds by casting out the old trespass that he reminds us of along with every evil thought that comes into our mind. Because of everything Jesus did on the Cross, we are committed. As we witness the transformation taking place in our lives, then we know that we are on the right path. We will never allow Satan or the things of this world to take us off the path again. We are being Transformed.

The Gospel Presentation

We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, which explains the many difficulties that you are currently facing in your life. Well, I have good news, God has solved that problem by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin to show us the way to a beautiful new life in Christ. God has dealt with all of our sins past, present, and future by having His son pay the debt for our sins. Jesus Christ willingly went to the Cross in our stead by allowing all of the world’s sins to be placed upon Him as a sacrificial Lamb. As Christ hung on the Cross, the wrath of God was poured out on Him to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus Christ died on the Cross and was buried for three days. On the third day, Christ arose from death to life everlasting. The good news is if we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, then we will be forgiven for all of our sins and receive the Holy Spirit. The Spirit will lead us into all truth helping us in the transformation process of putting off the old life, allowing the old sin nature to die with Christ, and then putting on our new life in Christ by being raised with Christ to everlasting life. You can accept Christ today by confessing your sins to Him through a simple prayer asking Him to forgive you and make you into a new creation filled with the Holy Spirit. If you have done that, then you have just begun the greatest journey of your life that leads to heaven and eternal life. Welcome to the Kingdom.

Listening to the Voice of God

Most people in the world today will never hear the voice of God. Most people in the Synagogues, the mosques, and the churches will never hear the voice of God. Most people who study and read the scriptures daily will never hear the voice of God. That’s a frightening thought that most believers today will never hear the voice of God. I tell you in one answer, but we will need to dig much deeper to really understand why most believers will never hear the voice of God. The one answer is that humanity is distracted by the powers of darkness, which has integrated itself into every area of society. The Bible says, “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17). Yes, this is war as the dragon does everything in his power to lead God’s elect children astray with every conceivable distraction.  As we shall see these distractions are so strong it will take a great deal of effort, the truth from God’s Holy Word, and the power of the living God to repel them. It will take the indwelling Holy Spirit to open our ears to hear the still small voice of God. So, what are these distractions? Continue reading Listening to the Voice of God

In The Blink of an Eye

If you lived for 125 years, compared to eternity that would only be in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, most live far less than that because of the increase in new diseases, viruses, and other health-related issues. Some have their life ended early because of lawlessness, immorality, and abortion. Others enter death early because of wars, famines, and increasing so-called natural disasters or the consequences of their sins. Furthermore, over 1 million people die of car accidents every year globally; their lives too have changed in the blink of an eye. We are all dying. Our life span on planet Earth is truly in the blink of an eye compared to eternity. Because of the original sin in the Garden of Eden, then we will all die (Genesis 3). While death is inevitable, most try to live their lives to the fullest with no thought of their eventual demise. On the other hand, we can plan for everlasting life now and experience a foretaste of heaven with a joy that’s beyond description. We have all been given a choice to pass on to eternal bliss in the presence of a loving God or to spend eternity separated from God in the fires of hell, which is conditioned on how we respond to the call from heaven. This is one call you don’t want to miss. Continue reading In The Blink of an Eye

How To Build Our Self-confidence

Unfortunately, when many come to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord, they don’t have much self-confidence. Often times it happens in their early childhood when parents or others are very critical of them and even express all manner of negative talk about their abilities. This often follows these dear souls into adulthood causing them monumental problems, creating self-doubt and a lack of self-confidence. Not only do they doubt their abilities, but they doubt if they can receive the full portion of a wonderful life free from a life of unrelenting pain, agony, and despair. The good news is that Jesus Christ promises to erase the past as if it never existed. Although many have heard this good news and have sincerely believed it in their hearts, yet they still struggle daily to see it manifested in their lives because their lives often feel like a never-ending Ferris wheel of ups and downs. Dear children, let’s do a deep dive into Holy Scripture and discover how we can experience the great life of self-confidence found only in Christ Jesus. Are You Being Controlled Psychologically

This is a most difficult question to answer because most will never know that they are being controlled psychologically. This control always begins with captivity and captivity begins with addiction. So, to understand this process that leads to being psychologically controlled, we must understand the methods used to lead you to the first steps of addiction. How are people addicted? Simply put it begins with your innermost desires. In the beginning, our Creator instilled a desire into our DNA that would not lead to captivity but would lead us to true freedom. On the other hand, Satan introduced new desires through his lying deception telling us that we could be like God knowing both good and evil. This evil became the dominant desire leading to the fall affecting all of humanity. This dominant desire remains today even among those who claim to know Christ as their savior, which is realized through the great falling away. Yes, Satan and his powers of darkness are tapping into these evil desires to lead all of humanity into captivity by ultimately rejecting God as their Creator. As we shall see these evil desires are deep within humanity, often suppressed or completely ignored because of some previous religious upbringing. What we shall see is technology can reach deep within humanity to access these innermost desires. Continue reading Are You Being Controlled Psychologically
