Living With A Thousand Voices

If we count up the number of different voices that we hear from the world in the course of a day and the voices that we hear in our own minds from memories to vain imaginations and from trying to figure things out to what we are going to say next, a thousand voices may not seem that far-fetched. The problem with attempting to assimilate this many voices it can create a great deal of confusion leading to anxiety, stress, and even depression. Silence and solitude for Christians have become a thing of the past, long forgotten in the dusty annals of church doctrine. Before we look at silence and solitude, let’s examine some of these different voices that come at us at the speed of light, each of them begging for our undivided attention and the acceptance of it as the undeniable truth. I don’t need to tell you where all these voices come from in the world. You already listen to these many voices on social media platforms, YouTube, television, radio, podcasts, the internet, newspapers, books, magazines, apps on your cellphone, political rallies, and people you encounter along the way. Yes, we all listen to these voices proclaiming to have the only truth.

I could tell you to keep listening and have greater discernment or I could give you a better way, stop listening. If we stop listening to the world, then our minds will come to the rescue. As already mentioned the mind can easily fill in the gap. It can easily bring back memories of things that you have heard, not only recently, but many years ago. Your mind is an expert at imagining the wildest tales better than any TV show. It can imagine you being rich, educated, and very powerful. These vain imaginations can occupy your mind for many hours which go way beyond a simple daydream. So, we need to do more than just stop listening to the world, we must learn how to listen to Jesus Christ alone through the Holy Spirit (Revelation 2:7,11,17, 29; 3:6,13,22). When we listen to Jesus Christ alone through the Holy Spirit, then it will open a whole new vista to see everything in the light of His glory. As the world grows ever more divided on what they perceive to be the truth, then it’s even more prudent to discover how God sees it. Instead of choosing sides expressed by fallen humanity, we look beyond the mundane and the trivial to garner a higher vantage point, to see things from an eternal perspective. What does God see concerning the perceived truth of fallen humanity expressed in their outrageous pride? It may shock you!

Before we attempt to see things from an eternal perspective, we need to contemplate what is causing so many problems in every individual on planet Earth. As there are many different voices in the world, we have discovered that there are also many different voices and urges in most people caused by their desires of the flesh or their old sin nature. Instead of rebuking these voices and casting them out immediately, they tend to dwell on them until they end up acting on these bad choices. They end up gratifying the desires of the flesh and not walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-17). This can be seen clearly in today’s world where hatefulness, arrogance, and pride reign. The Spirit and the flesh are truly opposed to one another causing many to be led into all manner of evil, doing things that they would not normally do. We need to fight against these voices or urges of the old sin nature by walking in the Spirit. We pray that you will discover the absolute joy and peace that comes from walking every day in the Spirit. Now that you are successfully walking in the Spirit, then you can seek to see things from God’s perspective that will truly shock you.

Well, we have stopped listening to the world and we have cast out the evil thoughts in our mind allowing us to keep in step with the Spirit now we are ready for the last step, seeing things from God’s perspective. Over the years I have written thousands of blog articles and sermons along with countless videos to unlock the prophetic timeline so that God’s children would grow closer to God and further away from the fallen world. Understanding the prophetic timeline and walking in the Spirit are the two things absolutely necessary to see things from God’s perspective, which will shock most believers and all of fallen humanity.  I have painstakingly detailed the prophetic timeline in my new book, “Annals of Prophetic Writings,” but for the sake of this short article, I will summarize it here. The Revelation is not static but dynamic revealing everything happening in the last days from the first Century until the present day. We are in the last period of the lukewarm church (Revelation 3:14-22), when the Antichrist system has pridefully arisen in every political system claiming to bring peace and prosperity to the earth (Revelation 13:1-18). It is a lie of the devil. There will be no peace for fallen humanity. Only God’s elect children who have come fully out of the fallen world will receive a measure of peace and strength to withstand the coming days. Stand firm dear children it’s destined to get far worse, more than you can possibly imagine, and no politician will change God’s prophetic timeline.

Now, as promised, a brief word about silence and solitude. When you stop listening to the world, rebuking every evil thought, and keeping in step with the Spirit, then you will quickly discover how you are drawn to silence and solitude (Luke 5:16). In a fast-paced world with a thousand voices coming at you to be heard, we learn to relish the quiet times before the Lord so that He will bring to our memory His many words of encouragement and needed direction. As we wait patiently upon the Lord, time appears to stop, as our spirit is refreshed and even our physical bodies are somehow miraculously healed in His presence. All stress is jettisoned to allow God’s peace to flood our souls (Philippians 4:7). The world can be falling apart all around us as politicians continue to make their empty promises, but we have the assurance that God will bring everything to its prophetic end ultimately destroying all evil and delivering His beloved children to everlasting bliss. Dear children, contrary to what your politician says, this is not our home but simply a staging area for our eternal home in heaven. Let us get busy leading people to the foot of the cross and not to the next political rally.

When the Witness Stops Witnessing (Video)

Let me remind you that the testimony of the witnesses is so strong it’s like fire coming forth from their mouth to destroy the arguments of those who come against them (Revelation 11:5). Their testimony is like our testimony, which is what Jesus Christ has done for us. The Bible says that there is great power in the message of the Cross and specifically our testimony (I Corinthians 1:18). The Two Witnesses in Revelation (Video)

Most Christians are familiar with the two witnesses in the book of Revelation, even though they may prove to be an enigma. To help us understand their witness we need to listen to the angel that opened their eyes to the problem that will face the Church in each age from the First Century until now. The angel accomplished this by having the two witnesses do a couple of amazing things before they were allowed to witness. The Third Woe Ends the War (Video)

The war for the souls of mankind has been raging for over two thousand years. In my last two articles, we looked at the first two woes, demonstrating that they both began in the first century, even though their greatest effect upon fallen humanity wasn’t realized until the sixth century. Moreover, these two woes have progressively gotten worse through the centuries until the present day. Today, we will look at the third woe that corresponds with the seventh trumpet giving us a glimpse at the end from the beginning; a time of great rejoicing in heaven because the war has finally been won. The Second Woe – The Muslim Invasion (Video)

The Bible says, “One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter” (Revelation 9:12). In my last article, “The Silent Pandemic of Mental Illness,” we discussed the first Woe that had its conception in the First Century but was not fully realized until the Sixth Century with the opening of the first mental hospital in Iraq. Today we will discuss the second Woe that also had its beginning in the First Century with a number of heresies coming against the true teachings of our Lord.
