Woe, woe, woe is a constant refrain that we hear in the last book of the Bible. Woe, woe, woe is a constant refrain that we hear in the last book of the Bible. When we read it, we think of God saying, “this is it!” Or saying, “this is the last straw for you have just passed over the proverbial red line.” This happened once before in biblical history when God raised His prophets of old to speak to the nation of Israel. God had warned His children for years that they had not kept His commandments, that they had followed after the disgusting immorality of their age. They had so integrated the world around them into their religious traditions and civic life, that they could no longer see their unrighteousness as filthy rags. Clearly, their sin had blinded them to their true condition before a Holy God. The Bible says, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20)! They had become so blind that they convinced themselves that they were correct in their beliefs. They were so convinced that their bad behavior was good, even in the eyes of God, that they would come out from among those who thought otherwise and fight against them with harsh words. They were not far from stoning the prophets. Continue reading His Woe is Coming Quickly!→
To use the lukewarm church and catastrophes in the same sentence unveils what most would like to escape, the Great Tribulation. There appears to be a commonality between the lukewarm church and the increase in catastrophes worldwide driving most to seek additional signs. For two thousand years prophets and seers have foretold the end of all things as we know it. Even the Bible is replete with detailed scenarios of the end time events spawning numerous interpretations most in rock solid cement. What if. What if the time has finally come. No matter what your interpretation, you feel compelled to do something. Going to a mountain top, sitting down and waiting for Christ to come is not an option. As world events get worse and the Church slips deeper into lukewarmness we can argue how close the Great Tribulation is or we can prepare to stand firm in the day in which we live. Armageddon is no doubt one of the most popular subjects among modern day prophets churning out different prophecies at the speed of light creating ever more confusion among God’s blessed children. I am also including the topic of God’s wrath along with our discussion of Armageddon to help us truly understand God’s dealing with fallen humanity and the war that will end all wars. To fully understand the wrath of God we must allow all of God’s Word to speak to us. There is a wrath that is being poured out on all ungodliness since the First Century. This wrath of God is different in nature in that God simply allows an individual to sink deeper and deeper into the consequences of their own sin. This wrath is explained in detail in Romans 1:18-32 (you may want to take a moment and read these verses before proceeding). We see God letting mankind go three specific times to illustrate that at each point, as man’s depravity increases, his consequences are also increased significantly. God gave them up to their sinful desires; He gave them over to their shameful lusts; and, He gave them over to a depraved mind. As children of light we are not surprised that many countries in the world have now approved same sex marriages sinking deeper into shameful lust and a depraved mind. We should not be surprised at the increase in all manner of wickedness which is driving more people to secular counseling and psychiatric drugs to help them cope with the consequences of their sin. Every true believer in Christ has a deep desire to please God. It comes from within and is very passionate. It’s inexplicable why we are driven to follow God’s will and obey His commands, but it’s out of a desire … Continue reading Satan’s Malicious Agenda→
