Pressing On Toward The Goal

Pressing on toward the goal is beyond difficult when your whole world has been turned upside down. Even in the worst of tragedies, there was a semblance of normality when hope remained for completing the course. There was hope when there remained true companions on the course participating in the struggle of pressing on toward the goal. However, when the hope diminished by an unrecoverable loss, then the goal faded in the distance. When the goal fades along with the hope of reaching it, then new struggles emerge cutting deep within the heart. How does one recover the hope of their calling? How can a new goal be established that resurrects a world that has been completely turned upside down? There are solid answers to both these questions that have penetrated deep within my heart by the Holy Spirit, our true Comforter in times of pain and great loss. The loss was the unrecoverable loss of my sweet wife, Robin, who struggled for fifteen years with Alzheimer’s disease. This is a horrific disease that takes a person slowly, one piece at a time, over the course of many years. Through each step, the caregiver is also sorely affected pressing us to me more for their continued happiness and self-worth. Continue reading Pressing On Toward The Goal

Getting Caught Up in the Spirit (Video)

“Getting caught up in the Spirit” is a term we don’t often hear about among modern-day Christians. It’s a term that makes little sense to most believers. Throughout New Testament history many godly men and women have also been caught up in the Spirit through deep prayer and meditation. Sadly, to say, most Christians today spend far less than an hour of uninterrupted prayer, with almost no one practicing the discipline of meditation. Furthermore, almost all these prayers are one-way communication telling God what is needed. Unfortunately, they have not mastered the art of listening to God through many hours of deep meditation. Yet, we live in a day where almost everyone is claiming to speak for God creating a tremendous amount of confusion and even causing weaker Christians to stumble. So, my question is: “How can so many speak for God, when almost no one is listening?” After watching this video on my secure website, please share it with other believers to the glory of God.

The Day of the Lord Will Come (Video)

Why do most Christians say that they believe that Christ can come back at any time but don’t act accordingly? This has been a question that has occupied my mind for some time now. Although we have not yet recognized the man of lawlessness or the dreaded Antichrist, we have all seen the tremendous increase in lawlessness and the many other signs of Christ’s coming. I have personally written about these prophetic signs for many years now, simply adding my voice to the many apostles and prophets that have come before us since the dawn of Christianity (See II Peter 3:1-3). After watching this timely video on my secure website, please share it with others.

Book of Prayers Daniel Blair-SmallFREE eBook

From the Introduction

As the author of these prayers, I have simply been the scribe. I had the privilege to sit at the Master’s feet every morning while in the Spirit allowing Him to dictate the needs and the direction of the faithful remnant living during these perilous times. These prayers are built on one another, as you progress throughout the year you will discover that they are woven together like a divine tapestry, with one eye on world events and the other on the sacred texts of God’s Word. These prayers came from my prayer closet guided by select biblical text, all 127 commands found in the New Testament, and many of the “one-another” Statements. These are prayers to strengthen your walk of faith in a hostile world.

Subject: “Submitting Ourselves One to Another”

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter our prayer closet today, we are mindful that we all are a work in progress. That none of us have arrived yet at that lofty goal of perfection. As we immerse ourselves into your beautiful Word with the indwelling Spirit driving it ever deeper into our hearts, we can see how much further we must go to obtain perfection. We have discovered, Oh Lord, that there is nothing stronger, yet more fragile than our own will. We pray that we would not always desire our own will to be done and then getting hurt if it isn’t. Teach us, Oh Lord to be truly submissive to one another by not demanding our will to be done but following your courageous example of saying, “not my will, but thy will be done,” even to the point of death on the Cross. We pray that we will catch a glimmer of that perfection as we submit our wills one to another. Help us dear Lord to truly submit one to another in godly fear of you, in accordance with your divine will. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God” (Ephesians 5:21).

PRAYERS FOR THE LAST WEEK,  IN CASE YOU MISSED ONE

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 10/5/2024

Subject: “Let Judgement Run Down as Waters”

Good morning Heavenly Father. When we take a hard look at our country, probably not unlike most in the world, we wonder how to pray. When we look at the injustice and the deception that has blinded most of our citizens, we wonder how to pray. So, we follow the lead of one of the ancient prophets Amos and pray asking that you will let judgment roll down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream. You know the truth for no one can hide their trespass from you, they cannot hide their unrighteous deeds. So, we pray that every trespass will be revealed, that every lie, false statement, and false accusation be manifested before all. Let your judgment roll down like water on the heads of every evildoer, everyone who manipulates, and every deceiver. As a country, we will not survive without your righteous judgment. So, we cry out and ask you, Oh Lord, to let your judgment begin today, first in the hearts of all those who call upon your Name, then all the rest. Let them all repent in sackcloth and ashes. After true repentance let them rejoice in the refreshing waters of forgiveness. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream” (Amos 5:24).

Subject: “Help Us to Always Long for the Truth”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, we live in a day when most people don’t want to hear the truth. They want everything smooth and easy with no challenges, with no convictions, and no spiritual struggles. They say, “only speak blessings to me” or “tell me things I want to hear or things that make me feel good about myself.” They say, “don’t speak to me about the things I need to repent of” or “what I need to do, to put off the old life.” They are only interested in their changing prophetic timelines and conspiracy theories. Give us strength to keep preaching and teaching the truth even though most don’t want to hear it. We need your encouragement Lord to continue speaking when most are not listening. They have gathered up teachers of their own liking and closing their ears about the transformation or growing spiritually from one degree of glory to another. We pray that more of your children during these troubled times would be more interested in their spiritual growth than what makes them feel good, or the comfortable sayings that tickle their ears. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears” (II Timothy 4:3).

Subject: “The Light of the Body is the Eye”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful verse that you allowed your Gospel writers to remember through the Holy Spirit for the benefit of your children living in every age. Thank you for teaching us to embrace the light and to reject the darkness. The darkness that’s created by our selfish thoughts of obtaining treasures here on earth. We have discovered through the indwelling Spirit that our true treasure is in Heaven, our dynamic relationship with you, the loving relationship with others, and all the goodness available to us by following the right path. We pray that we will always look at the things that bring true happiness instead of allowing our shifting eyes of a fallen world to embrace their materialistic culture. We pray that your beloved children will not be ensnared by an evil world that wants to possess everything, both objects, and persons for their own satisfaction. On the other hand, let our eyesight be single in serving you alone even if we must do it without any of the world’s goods, thus filling us with the bright light of your glory. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light” (Matthew 6:22).

Subject: “We Are Not Appointed for Wrath”

Good morning Heavenly Father. We take great comfort in knowing that as your wrath is currently being poured out on fallen humanity for their many transgressions and for turning their backs on you, we as your faithful children will not receive your appointed wrath. Praise God! We are not ignorant of the fact that your wrath is “letting go” of the heathen and allowing them to reap the full consequences of their many sins. Thank you, Lord, that for the believers you will not let go but walk with us through everything falling upon the planet. You have promised to never leave us or forsake us but rather to give us great strength through the indwelling Spirit to stand firm in the midst of life’s many storms. While the fallen world cries out in agony and pain; and as they spill out into the streets facing a multitude of psychological problems, we are remaining calm experiencing the peace that defies understanding. Let the fires rage, the earthquakes shake, and the floods sweep everything away, but we as your beloved children will remain steadfast in our loving faithfulness to you. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Thessalonians 5:9).

 Subject: “Nothing in Secret”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, LORD, that you have given to us the prophets, so that nothing in the world will surprise us. We pray that in these days of great confusion caused by the many false prophecies and conspiracy theories that only your true prophets will be able to speak; let them speak with your power and authority. Thank you, LORD, that you will indeed speak to your prophets in the coming days who will give all your children proper warning so they will not be so easily led astray. The whole world will be blinded by the coming one who will speak powerfully and eloquently. He will not be like the common man or even the learned professor or politician but will speak with great intelligence holding his audience spellbound. We know, LORD, that you don’t do anything in secret for it is you that will permit the evil one to come so that your children can have their faith tested, thereby separating the sheep from the goats. We pray that when this time comes that all your beloved children will stand firm. We pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).

Subject: “Using the Weapons of Righteousness”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for teaching us about Heavenly weapons that are extremely effective in overcoming evil and has the ability to turn an individual from darkness to light. We know for many this seems like a paradox to overcome evil, not with a greater force, but with only goodness and righteousness. The old sin nature always seeks to strike back twice as hard when attacked by damaging allegations, real or unreal. We pray that in an impure world that we will learn to remain pure, demonstrating kindness to all, filled with the Spirit, and having a sincere love for all, even if we need to suffer long while we wait to overcome evil. We pray that we trust in your divine power as we boldly proclaim the word of truth with no mixture of error, dressed in the armor of righteousness in all our deeds and actions. We pray that you give all of your beloved children faith to use these holy weapons and not rely on the weapons of this world that will harm others as well as harming themselves. We pray this in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left” (II Corinthians 6:6-7).

Subject: “Just A Fleeting Moment in Time”

Good morning Heavenly Father. How great thou art! Our lives are just a fleeting moment in time and eternity. Here today gone tomorrow; indeed, the coming reality for every man, woman, and child upon the planet. Teach us, Oh Lord to number our days spoken of by the prophet. We pray that all our plans will be laid out before you for we know not the future. Then help us to live our lives day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment making the most of every moment. Let your children experience the joy of the perfect moment in time when time seems to stand still. Let’s relish the moment! Help us to never squander our time in foolish and unproductive activities but to use every moment in loving service to you and others. Oh, what tremendous joy it is to truly live for others. Help us not to follow the world in its lust for entertainment and selfish play robbing us of valuable time that can never be replaced. As we live out our lives let everything we say and do bring glory to your Name. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away” (James 4:14).
