My greatest desire is to think God’s thoughts after Him. Our minds are so cluttered with the thoughts of the world, receiving new information at the speed of light, it’s most difficult to even hear only God’s thoughts. So, the process must begin with emptying our minds of meaningless thoughts that are casting us in one direction, then another. We must stop the endless flow of information coming in from the world. These thoughts come from many different sources. They come from Television to 24-hour cable news, and from social media to everyone expressing their own opinion. This information comes from books of so-called higher learning to endless searches on the internet, and from the latest popular videos to artificial intelligence, all who claim to have the answers to man’s dilemma. We are living in a sea of information filling our minds with scientific and expert information that’s constantly changing. We can’t all become monks and withdraw completely from the world, but we can be more selective to the point of cutting back ninety percent of the information flow. Although this would empty our minds of volumes of meaningless, contradictory, and changing information, it would not completely solve the problem. Extreme Danger on the Horizon
If we see danger and don’t sound the alarm, then we shall be held accountable by our Lord (Ezekiel 33:3-9). I have been greatly grieved that many Christians have arisen and cast a serious accusation against other believers in Christ by stating that they are not really Christians. We know from God’s Word to do such a thing is the same thing as calling them a fool, putting them in danger of hell fire (Matthew 5:22). History teaches us that most all the persecutions against Christians have come from others claiming to be Christians, excluding the persecution by Muslims. Although this is a common practice among many Christians in our day when someone slightly disagrees with their theology, it becomes a greater concern when an entire movement or people are being targeted as not being Christians. When thousands of mostly white evangelical Christians are being targeted for their beliefs about the political establishment, then we should all be concerned. Although this targeting may only be towards “Christian Nationalism,” it could very easily spill over to other Christians who have similar beliefs about the political establishment. Stand Firm Against the Coming Beast
The beast is coming to destroy the witness of God’s children. In the first great persecution of Christians, they were falsely accused or blamed for burning down a section of Rome. Two thousand years later history is on the brink of repeating itself. We don’t know at this point how much of America will be burnt down if any at all, but we do know that there has been a tremendously large deployment of troops in and around Washington DC along with other strategic areas throughout the country specifically for the inauguration. Fear from the political leadership has driven this deployment along with their aggressive hunt for all those who made it inside the Capital, on January 6th, even if their actions were not nefarious. The connection has already been made. All intruders were followers of Trump, which primarily included Christians who conservatively fought with him against abortion, the increasing scourge of sexual immorality, the invasion of illegals across our Southern border, the unending foreign wars, the ridiculous treaty with Iran, and his opposition to a New World Order. We also supported his Middle East peace deals with Israel and the moving of our embassy to Jerusalem just to name a few. Yes, the connection has been made, so if anything happens, we will be blamed.
