The Battle for the Mind Waged by the Enemy (Video)

As marvelous as the brain is, it falters easily under the malicious attacks of the enemy or the god of this world. He can easily insert a thought, a teaching, an intention, or his evil opinion through either one of our four senses with a veiled attempt to destroy God’s beautiful creation. So, how does the Christian protect himself from such an evil predator that’s currently destroying humanity as we know it? Don’t miss the three music videos that help give application to our message. The Battle for the Mind Waged by the Enemy

The mind is the most amazing thing. It’s faster than any supercomputer where it sees the whole picture and processes multiple things at the same time. The brain is more resilient than graphene the strongest alloy known to man and also known for its adaptability. It can record everything it hears and sees with an amazing storage capacity. Unfortunately, without immediate intervention, it will store both the good and the bad. The human mind has the ability for total recall under certain conditions or circumstances. The indwelling Spirit has the incredible ability to recall things from years ago in perfect clarity. The brain can move an individual to demonstrate every known emotion and be willing to die for one’s belief. It can dream at night while in a deep sleep and it can also daydream endlessly or spend hours in prayer and meditation. Continue reading The Battle for the Mind Waged by the Enemy

Breastplate of Righteousness

This article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The breastplate of righteousness is the next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier. Many Christians suffer defeat on a daily basis because they have some chink in their armor, which allows the enemy to drag them down to what feels like the pit of hell. Most Christians know that they have been saved by grace, and whatever righteousness they have has been given to them through their faith in Jesus Christ. There is no question that this righteousness has been imputed to them, which allows them to stand in the presence of God and His holy angels. However, it is God’s plan to continually grow us from one degree of glory to another to make us into the perfect image of His Son Jesus Christ. This goes well beyond behavior modification to a miraculous transformation making us into a new creation. It is clear from scripture that the “how to” manual for obtaining righteousness is having faith and being obedient to all of His commands. The Bible says, “This is love for God: To obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3). Jesus said, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:29). It does not take long before the Holy Spirit writes these commands on our heart where we know what is right and what is wrong. This is all a sure defense against the devil who constantly accuses us before the Lord. Continue reading Breastplate of Righteousness

Overcoming Anxiety

Everyone will admit that anxiety is the enemy of the mind and another weapon used by the devil. Anxiety is constant worry about making the right decision or the outcome concerning a decision already made. Anxiety is worrying about having enough money to pay the bills, where you’re going to get your next meal, where you are going to sleep, or many other things. Worry can cause a great deal of stress and frustration, which allows the enemy to bring to your mind evil and dangerous thoughts. In short worry opens the door for the devil. The Bible says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding. Will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7 (italics are mine) Continue reading Overcoming Anxiety
