Revelation is Dynamic. When the scales fall off our eyes then we are amazed at the dynamic nature of the book of Revelation, which thrills our hearts. It’s happened, it’s happening, and it will shortly come to pass or be fulfilled. Through these lenses, we see something quite amazing. As the prophecy is fulfilled, step by step, it colors in more of the drama between the powers of darkness and the children of light. It progressively unveils the raging battle between an all-powerful God and the dragon seeking to unseat His authority. So, let’s join the drama once again in the last of the last days when we observe the beast coming out of the sea (Read Revelation 13:1). Throughout history, we have observed great powers arising from the sea of humanity seeking to make a name for themselves by conquering and to conquer. Powerful leaders, in their respective countries, have readily sought alliances and treaties to overpower more and more of humanity to follow their dictates. As each proudly displays its religious horns, some also had the crown of great power. We observe throughout history each desperately trying to rule the world making everyone subject to their blasphemous authority. They proudly proclaim to know what’s best for humanity by putting forth their own doctrines and traditions above God’s absolute truth. Continue reading The Prophecy: A Revelation for God’s Children→
As deception is falling upon this world are you being deceived or do you have discernment? The extent of the deception in the last days is mind boggling. How strong is this deception? The Bible says, “And it was given unto him (the coming Beast) to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the Beast), whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:8). To me it is mind boggling that the entire world can be so deceived. Well, the reason is also given. The entire world was deceived “because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved” (See II Thessalonians 2:10). Indeed, the love of the truth will open our spiritual eyes and give us needed discernment for the days in which we live, which we will discuss in detail. We all know that the hallmark of true Christianity is love. Love for God and love for our fellow man and especially for our brother or sister in Christ. Jesus Christ was our greatest example of this kind of love. He fought against the vicious wolves of His day who were destroying the sheep with their human traditions and false doctrine. He stood toe to toe with them not to win an argument but to protect those who were put into His care by the Heavenly Father. For the sake of the sheep He confronted the blind guides, He argued against the established order, and exposed their dangerous doctrines that kept people in bondage to their human traditions. His love was so great that He healed the sick, cured horrible diseases, made whole the lame, restored eyesight to the blind, and drove out demons that were holding people in bondage. His love was so great for all of His followers that He spent many hours every day teaching the truth about life and liberty. Not only did He want to restore the broken bodies and free their minds from their enslavement to the devil but He also wanted them to experience the new life – a bountiful life free from anxiety and the stresses of everyday life. Finally, He paid the ultimate price by offering His life as an atoning sacrifice for all those who believe. His love did not stop there, but He made good on His promise to send the Comforter to lead His followers into all truth by reminding them of all that He taught them concerning the new life. He counted the cost and fulfilled His mission.
