God’s Will is Beyond Logic

Logic has become a popular term in our day that goes by many different names. It has become the culmination of acquired knowledge, wisdom, and the result of many hours of research. It has also been referred to as a sixth sense, the receiving of a gut feeling, or the expression, “it makes sense.” Logic contrary to what we call it allows humanity to make their many choices in life, which is always a gamble that can cause tremendous suffering when wrong choices are made. Although we make hundreds of decisions every day, there are a few that could have profound consequences if the wrong decision is made. Unfortunately, those consequences are not always immediately observable as we see through a glass darkly, limited by time and space (I Corinthians 13:12). Most will do all their homework, run the numbers, and have even done their research, but for fallen humanity, it’s always a gamble. Granted, some of fallen humanity doesn’t even bother doing any kind of research but allows their felt needs to direct their choices in life, even if they know it’s wrong or costly. When humanity removes God from their decision-making or just pays Him lip service, then the consequences can be devastating. So, it’s essential to understand God’s will even if it’s beyond logic. Trust in God’s Loving Providence

As we near the end of another year our minds are focused on the future and what it will bring. We may even look back on what we and the world have gone through with a great deal of trepidation. Even a blind man could see the horrible consequences of a world gone mad. Many appear to be on the verge of insanity doing the unthinkable, while others have become slaves to their technology or the free flow of drugs to control the masses. Humanity is in a sad state of affairs as they are being pulled from pillar to post with every tick of the clock. Time has become the new master demanding its allegiance, which is casting humanity further and further into the depth of despair. There is one underlying problem that is leading humanity to self-annihilation. All the governments in the world cannot stop it. All the self helps, and drugs cannot stop it. All the technology and advanced artificial intelligence can’t stop it. Only one thing can, trust. We must learn, once again, how to trust in the loving providence of God. When we do the clicking of the clocks will stop and we will be free at last to understand God’s loving providence for all of His called children. Continue reading Trust in God’s Loving Providence

Don’t Give Up on God

We are now clearly in the time of the falling away, especially in the West (II Thessalonians 2:3). I believe that many have simply given up on God. Perhaps they have forgotten or haven’t ever known that God loves them deeply. Perhaps with the discovery of the size and depth of space with its infinite distance, mankind feels that they are too small in the sight of God, or they feel insignificant. They ask candidly, “Does God believe in me?” With all the horrific pain in the world, many ask does God really care. They ask, “How can a loving God allow this tragic circumstance, happen to me?” Every day it gets tougher for humanity. Every day many wonder if they can make it another day as the world grows increasingly more dangerous from unchecked lawlessness to the threat of a nuclear war. Every day many experience the trauma of emotional and psychological problems. Every day many feel the brunt of the many different natural disasters destroying their homes, their livelihoods, and even their loved ones. Let’s be quite clear Satan, our old arch-enemy, wants us to give up on God. His one aim is to destroy your relationship with God. Continue reading Don’t Give Up on God

Anticipating the Glories of Heaven

What is your anticipation of heaven? Most of the western world has been captivated by the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, causing many to ponder their own deaths and the hereafter. Although they may not be vocal about their own coming deaths and their anticipation of heaven, I suggest that many are pondering those thoughts deep within their own hearts. So, I am asking you to pause for a moment of silence, look to heaven, and let us ponder the glories of heaven together. Let us approach the throne of grace together asking our Lord Jesus Christ to show us the unspeakable glories of heaven. As our static existence measured by time no longer exists, we enter into the glories of eternity. We are no longer captive to time and space but set free to experience all of creation in a timeless environment. Can you imagine the glory of not being locked into time, but having the ability to travel to the stars in the blink of an eye? I hope and pray that every believer in Christ has thought much about the glories of heaven and has their own anticipation based on their personal walk with Jesus Christ and Holy Scripture.
