God is glorified for many things, but we don’t often think about God being glorified in His righteous judgment coming now upon the earth. God since the beginning has always been glorified when His chosen people followed the path that was laid out for them in loving obedience to His commandments. The Bible says, “Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified” (Isiah 60:21). God brought forth His commandments to show them the path of righteousness and the branch of His planting. This branch looked forward to the salvation of the whole world, a people in distant lands walking in righteousness to the glory of God. God’s work was the gift of His beloved Son to make propitiation for the sins of humanity (I John 2:2). God’s work was the glorious transformation of fallen humanity in Christ by putting off the old life and putting on the new life in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 4:22-24). Furthermore, the God of creation would be glorified as His beloved children would let their light shine through their good works (Matthew 5:16). In time, they would also learn how to glorify God in their body and in their Spirit, which are God’s (I Corinthians 6:20). This would only be the beginning of a deeper journey of glorifying God in every situation including the coming judgment. Continue reading Glorify God in the Coming Judgment

Only Servants Are Called Prophets
In the Last Days, many will claim to speak for God as His anointed prophets. However, the true test of a prophet is that they are servants of the Most High God. Servanthood is a great subject that’s not understood or recognized in the modern world but is essential for every true believer in Christ. Many of the great prophets and Apostles of old claimed that they were servants of God and later servants of Jesus Christ their Lord. There was a clear understanding of the meaning of Lord, who is Master, a meaning all but lost in our present day. The early Christians understood the relationship between the master and the servant or between the lord and the slave. It was an easy concept to grasp when they followed Jesus Christ as Lord and Master. They happily accepted their new position as slaves to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. They understood the amazing benefits of being in the household of an all-powerful God and the great responsibility of being His servant. Let us pray that we will also understand the depth and majesty of this relationship between us and the Most High God of heaven and earth. Continue reading Only Servants Are Called Prophets

The Faithful Remnant Seek to Know Their God
The one thing missing among God’s people these days in the midst of their many trials and tribulations is the seeking of your people after their God. They seek a great many things, but they don’t prepare their hearts to seek after their God. This is tragic. They seek knowledge but miss knowing their God. They study all the manuscripts and understand a great many things about the history, the languages, and the culture of biblical times, but miss knowing their God. They banter back and forth in their study groups and have heated arguments about certain words and meanings but have missed knowing their God. They know all the church doctrines and have the ability to recite their systematic theology and can discuss the finer points of their religion but have missed knowing their God. We will discover together how the Faithful Remnant seek to know their God. Continue reading The Faithful Remnant Seek to Know Their God
The Narrow Gate
Why would the way to life be so narrow? Why would so few find it? If there is a narrow way then there is also a broad way and it seems most in the world are on it. It’s really difficult to do things alone and most would prefer the company of others even if it leads in the wrong direction. Consider for a moment all the world religions where those born into that religion rarely leave it for another. To go against the clan, the community, or the nation’s faith would be unconscionable. So they continue on the broad way believing that all their neighbors and friends can’t be wrong. To even entertain there might be another way could bring reproach and reprimand from the family elders. Moreover, to choose another way could cause isolation, hostility or even death. There are still many religions that hold their people in bondage to the broad way giving credence to the missionary effort, but things are rapidly changing. Continue reading The Narrow Gate
