A Light in the Prevailing Darkness

Two thousand years have come and gone since that first great light appeared in the midst of prevailing darkness lying in a manger. What a horrible foreboding darkness that covered the entire world upon His arrival to shed light to fallen humanity. Since the dawn of creation humanity has rejected the light and made for themselves idols of stone and wood. They chased after every perversion, slaughtered millions through the art of war or enslaving them to a life of toil and rigor. Continue reading A Light in the Prevailing Darkness

Endure Patiently

We live in a world where there is little patience and virtually no patient endurance. Take a drive on any highway in this country or others, and you will soon agree that patience is replaced with impatience. Cars rushing about, speeding, and cutting you off, and always in a hurry to get somewhere. Rarely do you arrive relaxed and free of stress. Fast food was developed and has become successful because people are unwilling to take the time to sit down and eat. Sit-down restaurants are also successful, with waiting lines seven days a week because people are unwilling to take the time to prepare a meal. In a fast-paced world where everything is expected yesterday, it’s a paradox because lines get longer, the number of prompts increase while you are on hold, and the daily commute becomes intolerable. We live in a very impatient world. Continue reading Endure Patiently

Mark of the Beast

Is the RFID chip that may be required in Obama’s Health Care plan really the dreaded mark of the beast? Before we answer that question we need to have a clear understanding of the mark and what the number 666 means. This number becomes perfectly clear when we consider that the number six is the number for man. Man was created on the sixth day and he is only allowed to work six days a week. It’s also one number less than the number seven, which is the number for spiritual perfection. “This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666” (Rev. 13:18). Continue reading Mark of the Beast

Superstorm

Have we become more globally connected and the reporting just gotten better or is there an increase in natural disasters afflicting our planet? If the answer is yes, then what should be our response? What stands out is the multitude of major earthquakes felt around the world and in some events only moments apart. Then there are the massive storms (superstorms) the kind headed for the East coast of America requiring a new alert language, “mass devastation,” “unsurvivable,” “catastrophic,” and a 24 hour warning system aimed at getting more people to take heed. I have lost count of the number of active volcanoes around the world that all seem to be preparing for one massive event. If that were not enough there are the immense flooding, droughts, forest fires, and unexplained shaking with loud noises heard around the globe. Yet with all this we still have unbelievers proclaiming all is the same, nothing has changed! Yet, I’m convinced that things have changed and they are only going to get worse. So what should be our response? Continue reading Superstorm
