Hoofbeats of the Apocalypse are Growing Louder

We would need to be spiritually dead not to hear the hoofbeats of the apocalypse. It’s growing louder every minute of every day in the hearts and minds of all God’s precious children. It’s not fear mongering. It’s not a product of vain imaginations. It’s not just an opinion. It’s not even necessarily prophetic. It is reality. It’s happening now. Every believer should already sense the tremendous moral decline in our society, that’s almost beyond belief. It’s almost like waking up to a bad dream. We have seen the wrath of God being poured out on all ungodliness in this country and around the world for some time now. Although most will not see or recognize this wrath, it should not be so, for God’s elect children. We have been given eyes to see. The Bible clearly indicates what God’s wrath is, and how to recognize it. Three times in the Bible, specifically in the letter to the Romans, it says, God gave them up by allowing them to sink deeper into their sins and its inevitable consequences (See Romans 1:18-32). Yes, my dear friends, sin does have its consequences. Listen and you can hear the approaching hoofbeats of the Apocalypse.

I believe that’s exactly what we are seeing today, in this country and around the world. When this country turned its back on God by approving homosexuality, the transgender, and every other sexual sin openly and unashamedly then they have received the due consequences for their sins. When this country turned its back on God by approving of abortions, the killing of millions of innocent children, and the cruel treatment of the less fortunate, then they have surely received the due consequences for their sins. When this country turned its back on God by removing His teachings and prayers from the public schoolhouse, then they have received the due consequences for their sins. When the whole world has turned its back on God by destroying His beautiful planet, then they have received the due consequences for their sins. So what are these consequences? The increased death and destruction upon the planet and in our communities have already shocked our sensibilities. We as a nation and the world at large are being overwhelmed by gangs, perverts, the insane, godless religions dragging humanity down to the gutters of immorality, mass murders in our schools upon our defenseless children, homelessness in our streets, and rampant drug addiction. Clearly, this is the consequences of our sins.

I hate to even imagine how much worse it will get but imagine we must. The streets will be filled with horror with evil lurking around every corner. And for those of us who were born and raised in quieter times, we have seen the tremendous decline and its effects upon humanity. Back in the ’50s when prayer and Bible study was allowed in the public schools with the Ten Commandments hanging proudly on the wall, we never heard of mass murder in our schools. Now the numbers are staggering. It is reported that there have been 2,057 school shootings since the Sandy Hook school shooting on December 14, 2012. Can anyone question the pain and suffering this has caused not only for the children but the tragic loss that the parents and grandparents must endure. Before there was a sense of safety and confidence that our children were not being taught things contrary to our beliefs. Now our children are taken away and led into every manner of perversion through approved public-school indoctrination. We had never even thought of allowing a five-year-old to choose their own gender, now it’s being widely accepted. This alone, not counting all the other perversions, will have a profound effect upon the family unit and the society as a whole. We need to count the cost. We are reaping the consequences of our sins.

There are also dire consequences for destroying our beautiful planet. No, we are not going to blame Global Warming, but we will point to our sins and their consequences. Our cities are now being flooded beyond anything we have seen in history. Rising temperatures are raising the sea level, affecting our weather patterns, destroying crops, and causing the extinction of many different species that have a profound effect upon the ecosystem. Smog alone has been responsible for 5.5 million deaths per year. When we start adding up the number of deaths, disease, and poverty caused by violent hurricanes, tornadoes, forest fires, and earthquakes we can plainly see the consequences of our sins. We can’t blame God or anything else. The blame squarely sits upon our shoulders for the greed, avarice, selfishness, pride, and any other number of sins that would cause us to destroy our very home. Yes, we will sink ever deeper into the consequences of our sins. Again, it will be difficult to imagine even by reading all the bowls of God’s wrath in the book of Revelation. Let’s be clear the wrath of God is allowing us to slip deeper and deeper in the consequences of our sins. Dear friends, there is nothing we can do to stop it. Nothing short of total and complete repentance.

A stronger economy will not stop the decline. A more robust military will not stop it. The most magnificent wall on our Southern border will not stop it. Climate control will not stop it. All the best political decisions from Congress will not stop it. Even our beloved president cannot stop it. Only one thing will stop it, total and complete repentance before a Holy and Righteous God. So, what about the believer? What can, or should, the Christians do. We can keep preaching and teaching that people will wake up and repent. We can continue to pray. Yet, there is one more thing we are all called to do. This one last thing is not an option for it is a clear command in Scripture. The Bible says, “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities” (Revelation 18:4-5). The good news is if every Christian living in the world today, took this command seriously, we may not stop the descent, but we could slow it down substantially, if not for ourselves, then for our children and grandchildren.

So how do we come out of the world? Well, we don’t withdraw to some mountain top with other like-minded believers. On the other hand, we do withdraw ourselves, our children, and our entire household from what the world is teaching, participating in, and selling. So, how does the world teach and counsel us? They do it daily through all the Social Media platforms, YouTube, Television, movies, games, public schools, organizations, surfing the internet, and counseling centers. Come out from among them and be separate. When you do there will be a tremendous void that may cause you some slight anxiety or depression. This is where we really need other like-minded believers in Christ for mutual encouragement and love. You will need to really read and study all of God’s Word asking Him how to apply all of His teachings to your life. You will begin to enjoy the times of quiet meditation and praying in the Spirit experiencing an indescribable inner joy and peace. As you put off the old life that was being shaped by the world and start putting on the new life shaped by the indwelling Spirit, you will not miss the world or the things in it. Fellowship among His true believers will take on a whole new meaning. Let me conclude by saying it again, this is a command of Scripture because God loves you. He does not want you to experience the plagues falling upon the world as they sink deeper and deeper into the consequences of their sins. Come out from among them and be separate!

The Truth is Falling on Deaf Ears (Video)

Clearly, the Spirit is speaking, even in the last days, but very few take the time to hear His voice. This can be primarily explained in one statement, “we are staying too busy and allowing interruptions during our quiet time.” Satan and the world are working overtime to keep you so busy, and if perchance you try to listen to the Spirit, you are interrupted. The Spirit is speaking the truth in the last days but it’s falling on deaf ears. Don’t miss the three amazing vocalists and much more. The Truth is Falling on Deaf Ears

The Bible says, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches” (Revelation 3:22). We, as true believers in-Christ are the Church, contrary to what label is placed upon the building often referred to incorrectly as the church. God has something to specifically say to you and perhaps to the rest of His beloved children, who typically meet in your same geographical area, either in your State or Country. We don’t serve a mute God. God spoke the creation into existence and is busy now speaking to you, His new creations in Christ. So, as God’s true Church, how can we have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying. Let’s learn together how to listen.

Before we talk about the many interruptions in your life, that keep you from hearing the Spirit speaking the truth, let’s look at just how busy Satan and the world are keeping you. Essentially, Satan and his demonic host are keeping you deaf. That has been his goal from the beginning. However, in these last days, he has many more tools to keep us busy from morning until night. They say that technology was invented to give humanity a helping hand, to save us time. Although technology may have saved us time, it has also taken back much more time, with the other hand, making us busier and more stressed than at any other time in the history of humanity. We have become slaves to our own technology, which I am sure has been the devil’s plan from the beginning. You might already be asking, “How so?” If we could limit our technology to our eight-hour workday, making the worker more productive, then nothing would be lost, but no, its followed us home. We can now spend hours every day on the cellphone, the computer checking our email or playing games, on social media posting and commenting, driving our smart car, or sitting in front of the big screen being entertained, along with many other things to consume our precious time. We are way too busy to take the needed time necessary to hear the voice of God through the Spirit.

Even if we stopped or cut way back on the time we spend with our devices, there still would be the interruptions. Satan has been doing that since the beginning too. He can either use others to interrupt you, or he’s very good at interrupting you by pulling up thoughts out of your memory allowing you to be consumed for hours or even tormented with the memory. This can be easily done through allowing you to see images or hear sounds, once processed by the brain, to bring back memories to dwell upon. People are saying that they are having a difficult time staying focused. There is no wonder with Satan leading us around by the nose with his interruptions or keeping us busy with technology, that’s supposed to give us more time. Ask yourself a question how much time are you spending chasing the latest so-called prophecies, the latest YouTube video, the latest news article, the latest post on social media, the latest gossip from family or friends, the latest movie, or the latest song to be played on the radio. We are too busy and interrupted by our own thoughts and vain imaginations. We must follow God’s Word by taking back control of our minds and how we spend our time. The Bible says, “Redeem the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:16). If we do redeem the time. then we will be one step closer to hearing what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

Once we have cleared our schedule not allowing any interruptions including our own thoughts then we are ready to listen. Let me start by insisting that God wants to speak. That’s what He does. So, we need ears to hear. The first step is to be patient, which I am afraid to say, is lacking among most of God’s children. We simply cannot tell God, “I have an hour free today, so I will believe that you can speak to me then.” Then I will tell you don’t waste your time it doesn’t work that way. No, I will clear my schedule and seek to spend time with my God, no matter how long it takes. One hour, two hours, three hours or all day. Remember, God knows the sincerity of your heart. I have done that for many years and can tell you most often it takes one to three hours or longer for God to speak showing me how to pray or giving me an idea for my next blog article or News Brief. On the other hand, He has at times spoken immediately, to my great astonishment and joy. Praise God! The bottom line is most have deaf ears and cannot hear what the Spirit says to the churches, because they are too busy and they keep allowing interruptions to keep them from staying focused on the task at hand, listening to what the Spirit says to the churches.

Once the Spirit speaks the next step is to completely let go. Don’t insert your words of wisdom. Don’t attempt to get ahead of the Spirit by thinking surely this sounds better because I have always been taught this or that. Dear friends, when the Spirit speaks, we need to listen. In time, you will learn to have self-control allowing God to speak through the Spirit. I am always amazed how easily He brings different passages of Scripture immediately to our mind, like a flash of lightning. You will notice that there is no precognition. It is God’s Word and He speaks it to us, when He wants, not when we think we are ready. I cannot overemphasize how important it is to die to self and allow God to speak whenever and however He wants. We need to remember; the timing is always His and not ours. I cannot tell you the number of times that I have been awakened in the middle of the night, or very early in the morning, or staying up past my scheduled bedtime when He is ready to speak. The point is when the Spirit speaks, we need to be ready to listen, your entire schedule must be put on hold as we take all the time He wants, to hear everything He wants to say. If more of His children would start listening and stop talking there would be a lot less confusion in the world and particularly among God’s beloved children.

Finally, when God speaks through the Spirit, it is always the truth without any mixture of error. Let’s be very clear about that. I have never known Him to contradict the Holy Scriptures or to give us additional truth that’s not there in the first place. We can study the Bible our entire life and still not fathom all the truth that it contains. It is not a dead word, but the living Word of God for every season and for the time in which we are currently living. His truth in the Bible has all the answers for man’s problems. Every emotional and psychological problem can be answered by the Word of God. Every political dilemma can be answered by the Word of God. As we approach the end, we cannot allow our desires to run in one direction just because we agree with so much of what’s being said, to blind us to the path that we are on and the greater problem that could lie ahead if we wink at the sins or turn a blind eye. The church, God’s precious children, are living in a very precarious time where if we are not careful then we could be caught up in the great falling away. The truth of God’s Word has not changed just because we are living in a modern age with fancy technology. If the Bible says, that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness, which it does, then that truth is just as relevant in the 21st Century as it was in the first. “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches” (Revelation 3:22).

The Power of No in a World Ravaged by Sin

We look out upon a world that has gone mad committing every manner of sin. Don’t think for a moment that the ravages of sin are not affecting the believer in Christ. Sin has grown so powerful through the instigation of Satan that it permeates every area of society from the highest to the lowest amongst us. From the cradle to the grave it’s great power has cast most into a life of bondage. Many who claim to know Christ are stuck in the old sin nature. It has driven millions into counseling and drug addiction or to a life of unchecked lawlessness. The horrific pain and suffering caused by sin are both shocking and devastating. Our courts and prisons are bursting at the seams while the world cries out, “What is sin?” Tragically this increasing sin also affects the earth bringing forth one calamity after another. As diseases and epidemics sweep the planet many of them have a direct correlation with sin. It’s so sad that everything is being blamed for the problems of humanity and the destruction of our planet, but no one is blaming sin. Continue reading The Power of No in a World Ravaged by Sin
