Jesus said, speaking about the last days, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many” (Matthew 24:11). False prophets speaking on the news channels, social media, and political platforms have clearly deceived many to the point where everyone has their own opinions. The various opinions are ripping this nation and the West apart pitting one person against another in open hostility. This has gotten so bad that they have set up government agencies, organizations, and apps to deal with false and deceptive claims. It’s gotten to the point where most of us, of the faithful remnant, may scan the headlines, but then will spend the remainder of the day in prayer listening only to God. Most of us would rather say nothing than spreading a lie, propaganda, or a false prophecy. This deception and conspiracy theories have gotten so bad that it has adversely affected God’s children by leading them further away from trusting in God exclusively. It has gotten so bad that the words of Jesus are being fulfilled in our day that says, “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another” (Matthew 24:10). Of course this hatred will lead to total chaos, which has already invaded our country.

So, what does God want to say to His children living in the Last Days? Most people reading this article will not stop listening to others on their news feeds, social media platforms, and their political leaders. I believe that God’s counsel for those living in the last days is to surround themselves with the faithful remnant and have a high degree of discernment when listening to or reading what others are saying in the world. The church, at one time, was a place to find only the faithful remnant with preachers, who only spoke directly from God’s Holy Word without all the meaningless stories and godless illustrations. Without the true church of God to help God’s children it will be all that more difficult to discern the truth from error, but not impossible. With the Spirit of God dwelling in us, nothing is impossible. Let’s take it from the top. The Spirit of God always begins by writing the Words from the Holy Bible onto our hearts. You cannot skip this step, without God’s Words written on our hearts we will never have proper discernment. Every time a word, a phrase, and a Scripture text is written on our hearts it will bring forth life-changing conviction. Every time His Words change our life it will be firmly planted in our hearts to be brought back to our memories by the indwelling Spirit when needed.

Everyone who calls on the Name of Christ should experience this wonderful and amazing ability to instantly recall God’s word to their memory in a time of need to make the proper discernment. The question that must be asked is, “Does this new information align with God’s truth.” If we don’t have God’s truth implanted in our hearts, then we will never be able to answer this question. This is only the first step in proper discernment. The second step gets much more difficult. Does this new information consider the larger picture of God’s truth and His prophetic timeline? Let us digress for a moment, which helps us to align things with God’s prophetic timeline. Christians living in the West have become way too comfortable as they adopt the latest cultural norms where everyone and every teaching is openly accepted. Tolerance is so engrained into Western society that it would be an anathema to think otherwise. This freedom to openly express our own opinions and beliefs has driven an even deeper wedge into society caused in large part by the many different social media platforms. This divergence of beliefs and opinions has created chaos and a growing number of conspiracy theories along with every false prophecy.

So, what does the Bible say about this time we’re living in, “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake” (Matthew 24:9). Although we hear a lot about the East against the West or the so-called civilized world against the terrorist, we are not yet hearing much about the faithful remnant rejecting all the godless teachings from the world. We will. We are on the verge of the faithful remnant coming out from among them, contrary to the country they’re living in, saying, “Enough is enough.” This will come to pass when God’s children begin to discern the truth from the lie. Yes, when we do, then we will be hated and shunned by the entire world which no longer wants to hear what we believe. They will no longer want to hear about Jesus and His loving message of peace and reconciliation. The Western world just wants to hear about war and retribution, to stand against the hordes from the East and everyone else who disagrees with their democratic principles that accept every godless perversion. When we stand against the world by believing in the exclusiveness of Christianity as the only way, and the sufficiency of God’s truth in the Bible for all of life, they will hate us.

These truths will give us proper discernment and will also become a red flag when someone preaches a lie, a conspiracy theory, or a false prophecy. These red flags should cause us to close our ears and reject everything that is being said. The first red flag is, “Does the new information disagree with the exclusiveness of Christianity?” Much of what we hear in the world today is a mixture of religious beliefs passed on as the truth, but in reality, most of it contradicts God’s truth in the Bible causing greater confusion and hindering our transformation in Christ. The second red flag is, “Does this new information disagree with the sufficiency of Scripture?” Much of what we hear in the world today is false information from scientists, medical practitioners, psychiatrists, and modern-day philosophers on what will give us a better life, but in reality, it often causes us not to trust in God exclusively who has given us everything we need for life and godliness (II Peter 1:3). The next red flag is, “does this new information draw us closer to the Lord with peace and tranquility or does it create greater confusion with increasing anxiety?” The devil only wants to create panic and chaos causing you to believe the most unnatural things, things even against simple logic. Another red flag is, “Does this new information come from a very immoral or prideful person accused of great crimes and lawlessness?” This should be a given, but then we are living in a different day that easily overlooks the trespass for some greater good.

The greatest red flag, however, is “Is the indwelling Spirit who is grieved creating a sense of uneasiness or extreme doubt to its relevance?” If it does, then why do we believe the lie creating greater confusion in our hearts? Finally, the powers of darkness are experts at filling our minds with a tremendous amount of information to process causing most to be overwhelmed with minute details and missing the big picture. What Russia and Hamas are doing is horrible breaking our hearts and causing us to cry, but let’s not miss the big picture. Prophetically speaking, God will allow the Eastern powers to ruthlessly come against the West in the last days, which will eventually destroy modern-day Babylon, America, for their wholesale rejection of God (Revelation 18). We cannot miss the big picture but keep speaking the truth that Western democracy has allowed every perversion to flourish as they set their people up to be controlled by the coming Antichrist and his image, artificial general intelligence (AGI) (Revelation 13:15). Discernment is absolutely essential in the last days to keep us on the right path and focused only on the truth. Remember, the words of Jesus, only the truth will set us free, whereas, we know from experience, that lies will create the worst kind of bondage. It is my greatest desire to only speak the truth, which will help God’s beloved children to continue their transformation in Christ becoming all they were created to be. This will only happen if we have great discernment by only embracing the truth, rejecting the lies, the conspiracy theories, the hidden propaganda, and the false prophecies.

Good Morning Heavenly Father. They say, “Fear is our worst enemy.” There is probably no truer saying than today when so many things are happening in a world gone mad. We as a nation have lost our ability to govern. The COVID virus is raising its ugly head once again casting many in hospital. You, Oh Lord, had told us of the psychiatric epidemic in the first woe, the Islamic invasion in the second woe, and the increase in many so-called natural disasters in the bowls of your wrath poured upon an unrepentant world. Now, everything seems to be coming to a head with Russia invading Europe and the Islamic proxy wars against the nation of Israel. As the Eastern nations begin to coalesce against the West and temperature continue to rise fear has gripped the world. We call upon you, Oh Lord, to calm your people down causing them to focus on what makes them different from the fallen world. Help them to truly love others more than they love themselves by allowing your magnificent love to flow through them to even their enemies. We pray that our love will cast out all fear allowing us to bravely stand against the evil invading our world. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
