Silence in Heaven

When heaven goes silent let the whole world take notice. Let God’s elect children press on with the beautiful memories that changed their lives forever. With every memory, it will be like a blessing, that solidifies their abiding trust in God. With every memory, the joy leaps within their hearts as peace fills the empty holes left by those who have passed on before them. They have learned how to cherish the silence, remembering the still small voice from God that they had heard so loudly in the depths of their hearts. It had been prophesied more than two thousand years ago that heaven would go silent briefly just before the end, as the seventh seal, the seventh trumpet, and the seventh bowl of God’s wrath simultaneously brings the world to an end. For many, this will be a frightful silence bringing forth the consummation of all things. It is the Lamb of God who opened the seventh seal as each event of the seals, trumpets, and bowls of God’s wrath unfolded simultaneously growing worse through each age from the resurrection of Christ to His return in glory to catch up all of His elect children. Let’s not lockup the encouraging truth in the Book of Revelation needed for each age.

Although the silence will be very brief, it will seem like only a half hour when completed. The Alpha and the Omega is present in every time from beginning to end preparing God’s faithful children for this momentous event when time, from an earthly perspective, will be no more. So, what is happening during this time when heaven is silent? There is a great offering filled with much incense along with the prayers from all the saints cast upon the golden altar before the throne of God. Even during this time of silence from heaven, the prayers from all God’s beloved children rise to heaven as a final offering which returned to earth as peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake (Revelation 8:2-5) to usher in the end. Heaven may be silent, but every prayer from the saints of God will continue to have a powerful impact upon fallen humanity and those who have strayed from the path of righteousness. One of the most important things we can do during the tribulation is to pray earnestly for every soul, especially for those who struggle with unrighteousness. There is great power in prayer to convict, to heal, and to lead God’s elect children to repent.

We must be great encouragers when heaven appears silent among many of God’s children, for this will be a great time of struggle when all they hear is the many conspiracy theories and contradicting voices from the world. We must encourage them to remember the truth, which will be like a bright light overcoming the darkness in their souls. Only the truth will set them free from the shackles of the enemy who has taken them captive by filling the entire world with his lies. Although the great days of shouting the uncensored truth from the world’s many platforms and in the many assembled churches are quickly passing away, nothing should stop us from whispering the truth into the ears of humanity. Nothing should stop us from praying for each soul that we encounter. Nothing should stop us from demonstrating our self-giving love to others. Nothing should stop us from letting our light shine forth with great joy bursting forth from our hearts. Nothing can stop us from turning the other cheek and going the extra mile. Nothing can stop us from trying to release the captives from their prison of immorality sanctioned by the fallen world. Let us press on with the belief that our prayers will not go unheard as they are added to the incense and cast upon the throne in heaven. There is great power in prayer.

With the dawning of every new day all of God’s elect children, from around the world, will meet with the Alpha and the Omega allowing Him to resurrect the many beautiful memories of walking with Him every moment of every day. These precious memories will carry us through the darkest of days. We must not allow the ugliness and foulness of the world to pull us down into the pit of despair. We must not allow the meanness of others to resurrect thoughts of revenge or harbor feelings of unforgiveness. We must not allow the many lies and conspiracy theories to lead us down a very dark and dangerous path, which will drive us further away from the truth. It’s only the truth that will keep us strong and free from the lies of the enemy. The truth has not changed. The truth is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. The moment we start adding senseless doctrine to our beliefs, then it dilutes the truth. The truth must always start with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who pathed the way to a brand-new life in Him. Some have gotten so far afield with all their beliefs that they have forgotten the simple truth about our transformation in Christ.

Even in the darkest days when heaven seems silent, we must continue our transformation in Christ, or we will slip deeper into the abyss of immortality. The deeper we slip into immortality the more we become slaves of the devil leading us to the altar of the Antichrist. The only way we can truly stop the descent into immorality is to continue our transformation in Christ. Unfortunately, many believe they can control or limit their immorality to acceptable limits being satisfied with their Christianity. They will loudly protest that they are not so bad and that no one better judge them. They have become comfortable in their beliefs and have no desire to press on to their higher calling in Christ Jesus. The Bible describes these souls as lukewarm Christians. Jesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega, counsels them to put off the old, tarnished life, and put on the new garments of a life that is being transformed in Christ. Then He says, “Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent” (Revelation 3:19). The Lamb of God has not forgotten His lukewarm children destined for a life of misery and even the possibility of expulsion from paradise, so He will reprove and discipline them hoping that they will be zealous and repent. Let us continue our prayers for every soul but especially for God’s lukewarm children who are missing out on the glories of their new life in Christ.

We will know with all assurance that we are on the path of transformation when we readily observe the old life of immortality falling off and the new life in Christ being put on day by day. Transformation is a process, which continues every day of our lives. This is not learning how to play church or learning a new sacred doctrine every day. It is not being controlled by our timepieces, technology, and scientific discovery. Transformation is walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ every moment of every day. This is accomplished by keeping in step with the Spirit. The Bible says, “If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25).  When we keep in step with the Spirit then we will produce the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law (see Galatians 5:22-23, ESV). We must ask ourselves; can we observe this Spiritual fruit in our lives? Step by step the Spiritual fruit will grow more robust being displayed in every moment of our lives touching those around us in a very powerful way. Although heaven may appear to go silent for many as we approach the end, they must not let it stop their transformation in Christ that will observe the richest blessings and the most glorious miracles this side of heaven. When heaven goes silent the world will tremble, but God’s children will rejoice that they can feel His presence in the midst of the silence. All glory to God.

The Gospel Presentation

We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, which explains the many difficulties that you are currently facing in your life. Well, I have good news, God has solved that problem by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin to show us the way to a beautiful new life in Christ. God has dealt with all of our sins past, present, and future by having His son pay the debt for our sins. Jesus Christ willingly went to the Cross in our stead by allowing all of the world’s sins to be placed upon Him as a sacrificial Lamb. As Christ hung on the Cross, the wrath of God was poured out on Him to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus Christ died on the Cross and was buried for three days. On the third day, Christ arose from death to life everlasting. The good news is if we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, then we will be forgiven for all of our sins and receive the Holy Spirit. The Spirit will lead us into all truth helping us in the transformation process of putting off the old life, allowing the old sin nature to die with Christ, and then putting on our new life in Christ by being raised with Christ to everlasting life. You can accept Christ today by confessing your sins to Him through a simple prayer asking Him to forgive you and make you into a new creation filled with the Holy Spirit. If you have done that, then you have just begun the greatest journey of your life that leads to heaven and eternal life. Welcome to the Kingdom.

In The Blink of an Eye

If you lived for 125 years, compared to eternity that would only be in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, most live far less than that because of the increase in new diseases, viruses, and other health-related issues. Some have their life ended early because of lawlessness, immorality, and abortion. Others enter death early because of wars, famines, and increasing so-called natural disasters or the consequences of their sins. Furthermore, over 1 million people die of car accidents every year globally; their lives too have changed in the blink of an eye. We are all dying. Our life span on planet Earth is truly in the blink of an eye compared to eternity. Because of the original sin in the Garden of Eden, then we will all die (Genesis 3). While death is inevitable, most try to live their lives to the fullest with no thought of their eventual demise. On the other hand, we can plan for everlasting life now and experience a foretaste of heaven with a joy that’s beyond description. We have all been given a choice to pass on to eternal bliss in the presence of a loving God or to spend eternity separated from God in the fires of hell, which is conditioned on how we respond to the call from heaven. This is one call you don’t want to miss. Continue reading In The Blink of an Eye

Angels and Demons Among Us

Most believers have cherished opinions on what angels and demons can and cannot do. Some have struggled against Satan and his powers of darkness, while others have actually entertained angels unaware. Today, we will take a deeper dive into this very important topic, of fallen angels, because it will be essential as we draw closer to the end. We hear quite a bit about Satan and his demonic powers but little about angels. However, Satan and the demons are actually fallen angels. The Bible says, “And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him” (Revelation 12:9, ESV). Although this was done over two thousand years ago because of their rebellion against God in heaven, to this day they are still making war against God’s faithful remnant, who keep God’s commandments (Revelation 12:17). This is a psychological warfare to lead humanity to join them in their rebellion against God. In my last article, we wrote about how Satan and his powers of darkness are clandestinely leading humanity to not trust in God exclusively. Today we will look at how the fallen angels are leading humanity to rebel against God by embracing everything the world has to offer. Continue reading Angels and Demons Among Us

Living With A Thousand Voices

If we count up the number of different voices that we hear from the world in the course of a day and the voices that we hear in our own minds from memories to vain imaginations and from trying to figure things out to what we are going to say next, a thousand voices may not seem that far-fetched. The problem with attempting to assimilate this many voices it can create a great deal of confusion leading to anxiety, stress, and even depression. Silence and solitude for Christians have become a thing of the past, long forgotten in the dusty annals of church doctrine. Before we look at silence and solitude, let’s examine some of these different voices that come at us at the speed of light, each of them begging for our undivided attention and the acceptance of it as the undeniable truth. I don’t need to tell you where all these voices come from in the world. You already listen to these many voices on social media platforms, YouTube, television, radio, podcasts, the internet, newspapers, books, magazines, apps on your cellphone, political rallies, and people you encounter along the way. Yes, we all listen to these voices proclaiming to have the only truth. Continue reading Living With A Thousand Voices

Pressing On Toward The Goal

Pressing on toward the goal is beyond difficult when your whole world has been turned upside down. Even in the worst of tragedies, there was a semblance of normality when hope remained for completing the course. There was hope when there remained true companions on the course participating in the struggle of pressing on toward the goal. However, when the hope diminished by an unrecoverable loss, then the goal faded in the distance. When the goal fades along with the hope of reaching it, then new struggles emerge cutting deep within the heart. How does one recover the hope of their calling? How can a new goal be established that resurrects a world that has been completely turned upside down? There are solid answers to both these questions that have penetrated deep within my heart by the Holy Spirit, our true Comforter in times of pain and great loss. The loss was the unrecoverable loss of my sweet wife, Robin, who struggled for fifteen years with Alzheimer’s disease. This is a horrific disease that takes a person slowly, one piece at a time, over the course of many years. Through each step, the caregiver is also sorely affected pressing us to me more for their continued happiness and self-worth. Continue reading Pressing On Toward The Goal
