What’s Impeding Your Faith?

The Bible says, “Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth (Luke 18:8b).” The answer is not a lot for most in the later days will allow many things to impede their faith. Although there will be a faithful remnant, I am sure that their faith will be mocked by the world. It will seem inconsistent with reason and against all the established norms of a pagan world. Unlike the faithless who had long given up their faith, they will continue to cry out day and night for God to vindicate them by righteously judging their oppressors. They will continue to cry out asking God to fulfill all His promises, especially the one that does not allow them to be tempted beyond what they can handle (See I Corinthians 10:13). Over the course of time they have learned well the things that impede their faith, being careful to resist them at every point. So, what are these things that impede our faith? The Belt of Truth

This article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The belt of truth is the first piece of armor to put on as we prepare to stand firm against the wiles of the devil; it’s what holds everything in place. The belt of truth is the absolute truth that’s given to us in the Christian Bible. Jesus Christ said that He is the Truth and often times emphasized that he was telling the truth. He also said that the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth. The belt of truth is absolutely essential for standing firm against the father of lies. The deceptive lies of the devil have sent many to counseling centers and their local pharmacy to seek a remedy for their problems. As we shall see, putting on the belt of truth, that is bringing God’s truth to bear, will bring complete psychological and emotional healing to the Christian soldier. I’m With You Always

It was Jesus Christ who said, “I am with alway, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20). Now, I do realize that some translations like the NIV indicate that Jesus said, He would only be with us until the end of the age, which could be at the end of the Jewish Age, or the age of the gentiles, but clearly that is not what was said. Contrary to the modern versions of the Bible the King James Version clearly says, that Jesus Christ will be with us until the end of the world. Every believer knows that Jesus Christ is with us through the Holy Spirit that resides in each one of us, giving us conviction, comfort, counsel, and direction.  So as we approach the end of days we should take great comfort in the fact that He will be with us until the end of the world. I daily, look forward to receiving His wonderful counsel in a day of great confusion when we are all, being pulled in different direction, many times by the enemy himself. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into a deeper understanding of His work in us. Every true believer in Christ knows with all assurance that we have received a gift of the Holy Spirit to reside in us throughout the remainder of our journey here on earth. He is not just a Holy Visitor but a Permanent Resident that will never leave us or forsake us. This Third Person of the Trinity is at all times connected to, in relationship with, and at One with both the Son and the Father. What an all powerful love, to be with us, to reside in us, throughout all of life, during the best of times and the worst of times. Continue reading I’m With You Always

Finding Answers to Life’s Problems

Finding Answers to Life's ProblemsAs our country prepares to celebrate our Independence Day unfortunately many in the world don’t feel much like celebrating. A dark shadow has been cast over the world from an increase in rampant lawlessness to the destabilization of other nations. The stress level of the world’s population is off the scale due to fear of catastrophic natural disasters, impending pandemics, the possibility of world war, or a bloody persecution of Christians. The world is faced with a multitude of problems. In our struggle to walk as children of light in a dark world we have all lost many battles to the old nature and the enemy. Many Christians who are burdened with life’s problems find little accurate and authoritative counsel from others. For many they find little comfort or direction from the Bible which has resulted in a life of bondage to emotional and psychological problems forcing them to the world’s counselors to find a cure. Often times in desperation they have readily accepted the remedy of psychotropic (mind altering) drugs leading to life of addiction, other dependence, and spiritual depression. By God’s grace I want to spare you of that. Continue reading Finding Answers to Life’s Problems
