Is Jesus Christ a Nationalist or a Globalist?

Is Jesus Christ a nationalist or a globalist? Let’s not be too quick to answer that question until we examine the facts. I believe that both political camps on either side of the divide would claim divine support for their position. In recent years’ globalism has gained support from most of the younger generation in the West and especially in America. This is due in large part because of the professors of higher learning and the movie industry. Young people are taught that everyone should put their differences aside for the greater good of a united world where every nation and every people group would be considered equal. Where most would agree that all races should be accepted as equals, they now also include all sexual orientations, all religions, all immigrants and their form of personal government even if it does not agree with the constitution and laws of the host country.

Perhaps the greatest marketer of this idea of globalism is the movie industry who is producing movies at the speed of light to convince the world of the many great benefits of being a global community that accepts everyone’s beliefs as equal. This is typically accomplished by creating a common enemy that only a united world could overcome. For example, we have seen this in movies like “Independence Day” a decade ago, but even more convincing of the need for globalization in the recent sequel. We have also seen this in movies about natural disasters that affect the entire world like “2012” and many others. Again, the only way to be successful and overcome these disasters is if every nation comes together as a global community. These movies have a profound effect upon the younger generation who has completely bought into this new ideology. This is very obvious when someone like President Donald Trump comes along preaching nationalism, which has brought shock and awe to the young people causing many to miss school and join with the protestors marching in the streets of America. Let’s not miss the impact that the movie industry has upon the young people in America to embrace their liberal agenda and the need for globalization.

I find the whole argument for globalization as hypocritical, because of their wholesale rejection of classic Christianity. They accept Islam who states in the Koran that Christians should be killed or at least be treated as inferior and nothing better than a servant or a sex slave. Although we as Christians believe that there is only one Way to Heaven through the divine Son of God, we still respect and love all people hoping and praying that they will have their eyes opened to the truth. It’s very hypocritical to allow Islam to reject all other religions as inferior, but insist that Christianity allow their children to learn about Islam and its traditions in public school as a “so called” religion of peace. Moreover, a judge just recently required a Christian woman to attend a mosque or go to jail. The government is severely limiting what can be said about Islam, homosexuality, transgender’s, the professionals of psychology (the new world religion in disguise) or anything that would speak against their quest for globalization or the acceptance of all people, religions, and sexual orientation. Globalization simply will not work for Christianity who sees two kingdoms that transcend every nation on the planet: The Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan, or the Kingdom of Light and the kingdom of darkness.

Another way that globalization does not work for Christianity is we as Christians believe that God has given His children everything they need for life and godliness to deal with every conceivable emotional or psychological problem facing humanity. (See II Peter 1:3-4) Yet, globalization has completely cut Christianity out of the loop on helping people, especially in traumatic situations, and requesting only assistance from the professionals of psychology. We are approved for handing out food and clothing, but severely limited on speaking the truth claims of our Gospel or offering biblical counsel to those who are suffering. Again, I see the hypocrisy in this, because Islam is allowed to counsel (with its psychology) enlist people into their false religion and provide for their physical needs, while Christianity is forbidden to do so. So, globalization is for all nations and religions that can come together as equals, but Christianity is seen as less than equal while our people are still being persecuted around the world with little intervention by the world community to stop it. Yet, through globalization we are allowing many Muslim immigrants to invade the West, while we somehow forget the many Christian refugees around the world. Globalization does not work for Christianity.

So, we see our answer is starting to come into focus. Jesus Christ is not a globalist, but is He really a nationalist? In the Lord’s prayer, He taught His followers to pray daily “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Clearly among all the nations in the world there is one Kingdom that cannot be entered by those who don’t believe that the divine Son of God, Jesus Christ, came to earth, died on the Cross of Calvary, and on the third day arose from the dead and is now seated in Heaven at the right hand of God. It cannot be entered by anyone who does not believe that Jesus Christ is the only Way to the Father in Heaven. So, in that sense Jesus Christ is a nationalist, because His Kingdom is set apart from all other kingdoms in the world. Simply put, God only sees two kinds of people when viewing the world. He does not see the individual countries, nor does He see the individual races, but what He does see is the believers on one hand, and the unbelievers (or pagans) on the other. Only the globalist would like to combine the believer with the unbeliever to build their utopia, whereas the true nationalist wants only to build the Kingdom of God that will be dispersed among all nations until the Second Coming where God’s Eternal Kingdom will be the only one left standing. The true nationalist will work tirelessly to safeguard the rights and safety of all believers in every country, allowing them to express themselves without the fear of persecution or imprisonment.

The true nationalist will not interfere with the government of other countries. Jesus Christ had said, “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s” (Matthew 22;21). He refused to take a position for or against an evil nation, but preached that His Gospel would go into all nations for the salvation of all who would believe. Jesus Christ never spoke about setting up globalism where all the nations could come together and water down the Gospel, but He did preach that our Gospel would go into all the world among every nation and set people free from their enslavement to the power of sin. He never even preached about setting up a Christian nation, but He did preach about the invisible Kingdom of God that would stand against the powers of darkness and invite people from every nation to become citizens. He spoke about an Eternal Kingdom that one day would become visible at His Second Coming when every nation on the earth would be brought to their knees.

As the New Jerusalem descends from Heaven to earth, about the same physical size of the continental United States of America, it will be the only Kingdom on earth with all of humanity entering her gates, enjoying her government, peace, safety, and fellowship among all her citizens. The Bible says, “And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie; but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life” (Revelation 21:26-27). In this sense, Jesus Christ is a nationalist leading His followers to pray daily “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Amen.

Formidable Voice to a Divided World

Should there be unity among all believers? This question has captivated the heart of man since the time of Christ. The Catholic church still embraces this notion of unity, but now allows great diversity among its ranks. The evangelical church has splintered off into a multitude of denominations each with their own exclusive doctrines and practices shunning the rest. This has also given rise to other fringe groups producing both fanatical and the heretical. Yet, Jesus Christ prayed for unity among all true believers, that they would be one as the Father and the Son are One, in unity of thought and action. Jesus went on to say that this unity among true believers would be a witness to the world that He was sent by the Father. Unity among all true believers would be a witness! Let me suggest that this would be a very powerful witness to a dying world that has all but rejected Jesus Christ as the only Savior. The voice of Christians and the diversity of His churches has had little effect upon the world. No one is listening. Yet they listen to the heathen in protest, while their numbers are very small, their voices are united. The unrighteous minority has had a profound effect upon the direction of this country, while the Christian Church has had almost none. Christian unity can have a formidable voice to a divided world, but before we continue it’s necessary to deal with the one objection that many have in our day when discussing unity. The Antichrist Revealed – Part II (Video)

There are many videos that claim to reveal the Antichrist, but few that take the time to unlock the characteristics of the Evil one who comes in the last days. Step by step this second video of a two-part series solves this mystery of the Antichrist by demonstrating how each characteristic is shaping society, developing a new psyche for humanity, and clandestinely leading everyone to enslavement and worship of the Beast (Antichrist). A powerful series that every believer must see.

All Prayer

Today’s article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier is all prayer. Those on the front lines in any military campaign will tell you the importance of good communication with their headquarters. It is no different with the Christian soldier who is also on the front lines in his struggle against the enemy; he needs good communication with his Commander in Chief. Prayer is essential as we wait to strike the enemy with just the right words from God so that it will penetrate their heart and win another victory for Christ. There are many kinds of prayers, and they are all useful in standing against the devil. There is intercessory prayer where we pray for others that God will meet their specific needs, there is a prayer of thanksgiving and praise, there is a prayer of repentance and confession, there is a prayer for a specific mission activity, there is prayer of meditation on God’s Holy Word, and there is prayer against the strongholds of the devil. It takes all kinds of prayer to stand against the wiles of the devil. Continue reading All Prayer
