With all the evil things in the world today, we hear a lot about “shelter in place.” Every time there’s a mass shooting or a disaster we usually hear this refrain and we all know what to do. Don’t move from the area, take cover, and remain silent. We are not meant to fight back, but hide. For many, if not most, it’s the loneliest time in their life. You are left completely alone with your fears, your anxiety and the unknown. The dark daunting unknown. Almost anything these days could cause us to shelter in place, from mass shootings to natural disasters; and, from martial law to a nuclear attack as we hear it over the loud speakers or on emergency radios. Yet, this is an enigma in disguise, because where is the real shelter? You are hiding, hunkered down, behind an unlocked door or in your home, but where is the real shelter? Where is the solace, or the comfort that everything is ok? For those in the world there is no real shelter. Shelter in place is an enigma, but for the believers it should be different. Let me show you how. Continue reading Shelter in Place an Enigma in Disguise
At what rate is Biblical Prophecy being fulfilled is the biggest question occupying the mind of religious man. From the first century until now every generation believed theirs was the last, and rightly so, because it was written in such a way that every successive generation would prepare for Christ’s return. To deal with the world-wide plagues and catastrophic disaster’s in the book of Revelation most have either put them during a seven-year period of the Great Tribulation (either before or after the rapture) or have simply spiritualized the events. To choose the latter would dismiss the wrath of God, and to choose the former would not allow for the natural unfolding of events, but see them all unfolding at an alarming rate, sending the world’s population into panic and extreme shock. On the other hand, what if we interpreted it beyond the confines of a seven-year period where all the Biblical prophecies are being naturally unfolded over a longer period of time that stretches from the first century until all is fulfilled. Armageddon is no doubt one of the most popular subjects among modern day prophets churning out different prophecies at the speed of light creating ever more confusion among God’s blessed children. I am also including the topic of God’s wrath along with our discussion of Armageddon to help us truly understand God’s dealing with fallen humanity and the war that will end all wars. To fully understand the wrath of God we must allow all of God’s Word to speak to us. There is a wrath that is being poured out on all ungodliness since the First Century. This wrath of God is different in nature in that God simply allows an individual to sink deeper and deeper into the consequences of their own sin. This wrath is explained in detail in Romans 1:18-32 (you may want to take a moment and read these verses before proceeding). We see God letting mankind go three specific times to illustrate that at each point, as man’s depravity increases, his consequences are also increased significantly. God gave them up to their sinful desires; He gave them over to their shameful lusts; and, He gave them over to a depraved mind. As children of light we are not surprised that many countries in the world have now approved same sex marriages sinking deeper into shameful lust and a depraved mind. We should not be surprised at the increase in all manner of wickedness which is driving more people to secular counseling and psychiatric drugs to help them cope with the consequences of their sin. With the hateful outcry, sometimes foul degrading remarks against the Pope and Mr. Obama on the one side and the revered, deep emotional, sometime bordering on a worshipful, response on the other side, it throws the entire Christian world into deeper division enamored with greater confusion. If you are in either one of these camps I implore you to listen further. In order to cut through this confusion it is absolutely necessary to allow God’s Word to discern truth from error and put our feet back on the path of biblical prophecy and our eternal bond to its fulfillment. Although the actual words “New World Order” was never mentioned in any of the speeches last week at both the United States Congress and the United Nations, however, it would take a blind man not to see the blueprint of a New World Order, which not only fulfills prophecy, but sets the clock in motion to run through all the end time events. It is an imperative, and biblical, not to set dates, for each of the coming events could take longer to fulfill, as humanity seeks to lift up the hungry and oppressed, to reverse the effects of planetary destruction, to remove all weapons of mass destruction, to unite the entire world under global leadership, to institute international law and enforce it, and to cause all religions to respect one another’s beliefs and practices making them all inclusive within the New World Order. For two thousand years Christians have faced that agonizing question that has divided brothers, Christians Orders, and whole denominations. We are faced with that question today in America. With the recent jailing of Kim Davis, a County Clerk and fellow sister, in the State of Kentucky for her refusal to issue a marriage license to homosexual couples, it has become a burning question. Should Christians fight back? With the coming New World Order, the revealing of the False Prophet, the Antichrist, and the real possibility of martial law, it has become a burning question. Should Christians fight back? With the real possibility of our government confiscating all guns from its citizens, it has become a burning question. Should Christians fight back? The simple and most direct answer to this question is yes, we should fight back, but how is the larger question; “Is there ever a time that we could be justified to use the weapons of this world?” Continue reading Should Christian Fight Back?
