They say the mind can take only so much and then it stops listening. Some are calling it overload, while others are calling it selective hearing. Whatever it is, it appears that the whole world has stopped listening. They have turned away from the ancient religions and are embracing a new future that promises many unbelievable advances in technology. These changes promise to enhance humanity’s ability to experience a deeper understanding of the entire universe and their unique place in it. These changes promise to give them a fulfilled life where the whole world will come together as one in peace and tranquility. These changes promise to open the door to a new reality where anything is possible from communicating with the animal kingdom to utilizing artificial intelligence to enhance their abilities. Nothing seems impossible to a world that has jettisoned classic Christianity for a brave new world. Although many will continue to play church, they no longer trust in God for their future, and they no longer trust in religion to chart their path ahead. Extreme Danger on the Horizon
If we see danger and don’t sound the alarm, then we shall be held accountable by our Lord (Ezekiel 33:3-9). I have been greatly grieved that many Christians have arisen and cast a serious accusation against other believers in Christ by stating that they are not really Christians. We know from God’s Word to do such a thing is the same thing as calling them a fool, putting them in danger of hell fire (Matthew 5:22). History teaches us that most all the persecutions against Christians have come from others claiming to be Christians, excluding the persecution by Muslims. Although this is a common practice among many Christians in our day when someone slightly disagrees with their theology, it becomes a greater concern when an entire movement or people are being targeted as not being Christians. When thousands of mostly white evangelical Christians are being targeted for their beliefs about the political establishment, then we should all be concerned. Although this targeting may only be towards “Christian Nationalism,” it could very easily spill over to other Christians who have similar beliefs about the political establishment. Are You Following a Blind Guide?
For the first time in world history, there is a multitude of blind guides in every segment of secular society and religious life promising to guide you into an enlightened truth. With all these guides in our world today we are forced to ask the question, “Which one has eyesight to see the whole truth?” To be partially blind to the truth, or mixing truth with a lie, still makes you a blind guide leading your followers into the pit of inevitable consequences of following a lie. A true word from Jesus Christ is not to let these blind guides overcome you or cause you anxiety (See Matthew 15:14). With God’s help, we can confront all these lies from every source in both society and religious life as they are brought before us through listening or reading. This is possible my dear friends, if we truly hide God’s Word in our hearts and learn how to listen to the indwelling Spirit. When we do this, we will be able to expose and confront every lie. On Which Truths Are You Willing to Die? (Video)
As we approach the end, we need to know, which truths we are willing to be persecuted for, even to death if necessary. We cannot wait until it happens before we decide. Let’s be clear, your persecutors will typically give you an opportunity to recant of your strongly held beliefs and accept their false religion or heretical beliefs.
