So, whatever happened to sin? In my previous article, entitled “When Heaven Goes Silent,” we spoke about the whole world being led into captivity by the powers of darkness. Well, there is another captivity that’s as old as humanity’s fall from grace. This captivity was caused by opening the door to sin. In time, this powerful motivation to sin would rule over the entire human race from the cradle to the grave … We often think about the Last Days as fire and brimstone, and I too have been numbered among those end-time prophets. However, there is a much larger threat to humanity that we don’t often think about. This will cause everyone, even the strongest among us, to cringe at the mere thought of things to come. After watching this eye-opening video on my secure website, then please share it with others.
In time, this powerful motivation to sin would rule over the entire human race from the cradle to the grave. The Bible says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We first witnessed this worldwide captivity to sin prior to the great flood that wiped out all of humanity with the exception of only a few chosen people. The Bible says, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Genesis 6:5). Although God made a promise to never wipe out all of humanity again with a flood, His prophets of old have prophesied that the world will be destroyed by fire and intense heat for their excessive wickedness and turning away from God. We often think about the Last Days as fire and brimstone, and I too have been numbered among those end-time prophets. However, there is a much larger threat to humanity that we don’t often think about. This will cause everyone, even the strongest among us, to cringe at the mere thought of things to come. Today’s article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier is all prayer. Those on the front lines in any military campaign will tell you the importance of good communication with their headquarters. It is no different with the Christian soldier who is also on the front lines in his struggle against the enemy; he needs good communication with his Commander in Chief. Prayer is essential as we wait to strike the enemy with just the right words from God so that it will penetrate their heart and win another victory for Christ. There are many kinds of prayers, and they are all useful in standing against the devil. There is intercessory prayer where we pray for others that God will meet their specific needs, there is a prayer of thanksgiving and praise, there is a prayer of repentance and confession, there is a prayer for a specific mission activity, there is prayer of meditation on God’s Holy Word, and there is prayer against the strongholds of the devil. It takes all kinds of prayer to stand against the wiles of the devil. Continue reading All Prayer→
As we fast approach the end of days my heart aches for the church. It deeply grieves me to see her stumble and fall prey to the world. Spiritual eyes reveal the good, the bad, and the ugly. Yet, in all of her various forms she is still the church of the living God established by His Son, nurtured by the Spirit, and ministered to by each of her members. It’s instructive to see that Jesus Christ first addresses the seven historical churches in the book of Revelation prior to the unveiling of the great struggle between the powers of evil and the risen Lord. These timeless messages are for all the churches in every age from the first century to the coming of Christ in glory to defeat Satan and his host of wickedness. As Christ walks among the churches He is holding her messengers in His right hand (See Revelation 1:20) and with all seeing eyes He is continually giving her comfort, commendation, exhortation, and rebuke. It was Christ who established His church and indicated that the gates of hell would not prevail against her. (See Matthew 16:18) Simply put, all the false doctrine, all the schisms, and all the host of wickedness will not destroy the church. Jesus Christ loves the church referred to often as His Body. “Thus saith the Lord.” Do you really want to hear what God has to say? It’s irrevocable. It’s like fire torching the soul. There is no negotiation. No interpretation needed. No personal opinion, just the pure powerful words of God. Why God chooses humble, flawed, human beings to proclaim His Word is a mystery, yet understood. The prophet must be nothing so that God can be everything. All pride and self assurance must be eradicated. God doesn’t need your help, just your willingness to be His mouthpiece. Whatever you think God should say to His people or to the world must be jettisoned as pitiful rubbish. If you know what you are going to say before you say it then you have tricked your mind into believing that you are ready, you’re not. He did not ask you to think it through or give literary flavor to His Words. He asked you to be nothing so that He can be everything through you. Once the vessel is made empty it’s finally ready for the Master’s use. When you pick up the prophets mantle then God will speak to His people in a day of great confusion, He will speak to a world in unrelenting turmoil, and everyone will know that an unpopular prophet has come among them.
