Silence in Heaven

“When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour” (Revelation 8:1). This is a most interesting verse. After the sealing of all true believers in Christ and in the midst of the Great Tribulation everything stops for prayer. This is a worldwide prayer meeting with devastating consequences for those living on the earth. This is more than just a gentle wake-up call that the end is at hand and that we all need to get our spiritual house in order. “The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake” (Revelation 8:4-5). We must conclude that our prayers going up before God have a tremendous effect upon the world in the midst of the Great Tribulation. As things start to heat up around the globe, it’s time to evaluate our prayers and their effectiveness. Continue reading Silence in Heaven

And we still don’t know how he will distribute the wealth, unless he takes from rich through excessive taxation or another executive order (a similar fate of the Jews during Hitler’s reign).
