To miss what is going on in the world, we would need to be living in a bubble. Of course, as believers, we knew that this day would come when the whole world seems to be falling apart from horrific firestorms to unbelievably extreme temperatures and from unchecked lawlessness to the grossest of sexual perversions. Perhaps the worst for the true believer is to see so many fall away and embrace all the lies of the devil as if they were the gospel truth. It is enough to make you weep in great agony.
We Can Make Things Better
Perhaps the most dangerous lie is that we can make the world better through the political process. This has been a lie used many times throughout history raising up the Caesars, Napoleons, and Hitler’s promising to make things better, but in the end creating a cult-like mentality, which brought death and destruction to the world. This thinking of making things better through the political process is antithetical to the Way presented by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus Christ came to earth to show us a better way of truly making things better. The Christian way is through transformational change one person at a time. The heart and mind must be changed by putting off the old life and putting on the new life in Christ. The devil cares only about manipulating your heart and mind to believe his lies thus creating a cult-like mentality. He wants you to believe that forcing everyone through his new laws will cause them to align with his way, or your way of thinking, which will overcome the divisions, and establish a brave new world. This is a very dangerous and deceptive lie of the devil that will ingeniously target religious people who will be willing to follow him to hell and back. They will even proclaim him as some kind of saint or savior that will deliver the world from very evil and corrupt people. They may even proclaim that God has raised him to fix the world through the political process. Stop listening to the devil who can even disguise himself as an angel of light (II Corinthians 11:14). This will be the path that the dreaded Antichrist will take causing you to believe that he has your best interest at heart. This deception will be so strong that people will freely worship him as the savior of humanity believing that he alone will stop the wars, the outrageous lawlessness, and even the wrath of God as we had discussed earlier. Let’s stop listening to the devil’s lies and return to God’s way of real lasting change. Continue reading Seven Lies of the Devil – Part II
There are many voices in the world speaking one thing, then another. To hear God’s still small voice all other voices must be shut out, including the voices in our own heads. The whole world, both East and West, is designed by Satan to keep you from hearing God’s still small voice. It is designed to keep you from hearing God’s prophetic voice. There is no accident that every country has social media platforms, news outlets, and thousands of popular websites to keep you from hearing God’s voice. There is no accident that every country has movies, internet games, and streaming videos to keep you so occupied that you cannot hear God’s still small voice. The world is being overcome and overwhelmed by the spirit of Antichrist and his false prophet. They are purposefully leading humanity to chase after every new conspiracy theory, half-truth, and outrageous lie, which keeps them from hearing God’s prophetic voice. Furthermore, they are leading humanity to draw forth their own conclusions based on what they have observed in the world. In a sense, nearly everyone has become their own prophet by completely ignoring God’s prophetic voice. We must listen to the still small voice of God (I Kings 19:11-12). Someone who has grown up in the West, and specifically in America, with certain inalienable rights along with the freedom to prosper financially with hard work and determination, is likely to find this article difficult to read. Any person who has fond memories of public education that always started with the pledge of allegiance to one nation under God and a prayer to the Christian God recognized by all, will find it difficult. A person who grew up in quieter times with front porches, friendly neighbors, and big Sunday meals with the whole family around the same table is discovering that those days are now far behind us. Although we had our occasional hooligan, bomb shelters, and the civil rights movement, generally it was the best of times when the rest of the world seemed distant. Except for a few diplomats and some far-flung missionaries, most only saw foreign countries as a nice place to visit. Well, in the past sixty years everything has changed, not all at once, but one step at a time where most didn’t recognize it. Some, now, are beginning to wake up and wonder how did we get here? Have we entered a different reality that is literally pulling itself apart or is this Satan’s surreptitious drive to globalization? Continue reading Satan’s Surreptitious Drive to Globalization
Some say there are no prophets today, while others say the gift of prophecy no longer exists. To listen to the prophets in any age will take a great deal of discernment. There have been false prophets from the beginning proclaiming things out of their own vain imagination. God and his elect prophets have always been very critical of these false prophets prophesying either what the people want to hear or their own made-up prophecies that always confuse the people. Any serious student of the Bible who is filled with the Holy Spirit knows full well that the gift of prophecy will not cease until the perfect One, Jesus Christ, comes to usher in His eternal Kingdom. I have taught for many years that there is no new prophecy other than what’s already in the Bible but that does not negate the fact that the Spirit can also give us a deeper insight into the written prophecy that already exists and direct us to apply it properly to the age in which we are living. We have a responsibility to adhere to the true prophets for every age from the First Century until now. As. God’s beloved children, we must listen to the prophets with great discernment.
