Are We Rushing Headlong into a Repressive Dynasty?

In recent months, there has been a revolving door at the White House of world leaders, but now on Mr. Trump’s first foreign trip he is scheduled to meet with the Vatican. There are more questions than answers. They say with every action there is a reaction. From revolution to counter-revolutions there is always the resistance fighting for what they perceive to be the truth. From protests to martial law and from revolutions to a change in governing powers most will suffer. From liberal governments to repressive so the pendulum swings. Politically we as a country are on a very slippery slope that would affect the entire world. In our eagerness to escape the immorality of a liberal government we may be rushing headlong into a repressive dynasty seeking to interject religious laws and mandates into its governance, forcing the population to adhere or face the consequences. How did we ever get into this mess? Whatever happened to the moderate who would keep immorality in check while giving all a freedom of religious expression or descent.

A brief look at history will help. From the First Century until now there has been those who have worked tirelessly for a Kingdom now theology, rejecting the notion that people could openly reject its laws and precepts to govern their behavior. The Roman Catholic Church went that way for many centuries demanding that all the citizens of the Holy Roman Empire adhere to its laws and theological beliefs or suffer the consequences of persecution and death. History, not changed for political purposes, teaches us a lesson of how nations of people in reaction to repressive or liberal governments will allow the pendulum to swing all the way in the opposite direction. That is, to go from one extreme to another. We have seen this throughout history, one example being the religious Reformation against the Catholic Church. The most alarming example in our day, is the resistance to a liberal government and gross immorality that could set the stage for a repressive government. The pendulum has swung all the way in the opposite direction.

I am convinced that the last government who will seek to expand its power and influence around the world will overcome the Christian. The Bible says, “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations” (Revelation 13:7). So, the question is, how will the Christians saints be overcome? This is a critical question that must be entertained by every true believer in Christ. Let me say clearly that Satan will not do it as most expect. It will not be a frontal attack dragging every Christian off to the chopping block. This was done in Ancient Rome, which in the end did not overcome the saints, but did the opposite. Ancient writers wrote that the persecution was the seeds of the Church. Instead of destroying the Church it grew stronger. To show their faithfulness to Christ, they willingly faced persecution with joy in their hearts as they witnessed the gospel to their tormentors and praised God that they were counted worthy to suffer for His Name.

In the last days, Satan has another plan to overcome the Christian. In one word, that will need further explanation, is “deception.” At last the Christian community, under the new governing authority, will feel that they have the upper hand against immorality. They will no longer be forced to participate in things they don’t believe in. In time bakers will have a sigh of relief. After many years, they have regained their voice in the political arena allowing it to be preached from the pulpit. They have a school choice for their dear children. After many years the pendulum has swung fully into the opposite direction and for a while everything seems wonderful. Even Social Media allows the Christian to express whatever they want without the fear of censorship. Are we being deceived? What are we willing to pay for this new-found freedom? It may cost you more than what you have bargained for.

For a time, everyone is granted a mixed bag of theology, which is quietly accepted in exchange for the new freedoms. Everyone is getting accustomed to turning their head or giving a nod, because honestly most will admit it’s better than before. As more and more reports surface that might lead the Christian community to question the direction of the governing powers the more these reports will be seen as illegitimate or fake news. As the community of the faithful hangs on by a thread the more the new government will step up its control of immorality to regain its base and faithful support. The inevitable is coming quickly. To control all immorality then all must be controlled. Keep your religion whatever form that takes, keep your mixed bag of theology, who cares, but all people must obey the new laws. Christian or non-Christian all must obey or face the consequences.

So, what is the new law? And who are the first in line to obey? Every so-called Christian who has not had their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be eager to show their allegiance by obeying every law that keeps immorality in check and under control. So, what’s this new law? Simply put, demonstrate your allegiance to the governing powers by taking your mark whatever form it takes, visible or invisible who can say, perhaps allowing you to be tracked or be more readily identified and of course giving you the ability to buy or sell. And for those who are unwilling to participate, they will have a very difficult time surviving in the new world and eventually will face the consequences. Let me be very clear this will all seem quite normal and accepted by all. It will seem to be no different than living in a cashless society and the use of Credit Cards in days gone by. Even giving your worshipful allegiance to those in power will appear harmless and not much different than saluting the flag. Sad to say that all this is but the tip of the iceberg. It is the participation in supporting the new governing authorities, instituting their new laws of religious morality, and forcing everyone to follow them – that’s the real tragedy.

The gift of God to change man from the inside out will be exchanged to forcing man to change on the outside through their new laws of morality. The gift of God will be exchanged for a lie of the devil. Many, if not most of those who claim to know Christ as their Savior will be caught up in this, forcing their morality upon the world, and in so doing, the saying will come true, “the saints will be overcome.” The whole world will be deceived. Lord, open our eyes to things to come. This whole participation in the world’s agenda has started many years ago by convincing mankind that God does not have all the answers in His Word the Bible. The world for some time now has been treating humanity for all its emotional and psychological problems, which has paved the way to complete the process by now controlling his behavior not only through behavior modification, but through his new religious laws of morality. To legislate morality to change man’s behavior will become the mandate of the new government.

We will have come full cycle from the time of the Holy Roman Empire to the kingdom of the Beast. Who can stand? Dear, Christian let me encourage you to not participate in this devilish scheme. This is not God’s Way. His Way is to become a new person in Christ, that will change man’s behavior from the inside out, which can only be accomplished through faith in Christ. Satan from the beginning has always tried to mimic God in many ways from the Holy Trinity to death and resurrection of the beast (See Revelations 13:3) to the salvation of humanity. We must stand firm and resist the deception coming upon the whole world.

All Prayer

Today’s article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier is all prayer. Those on the front lines in any military campaign will tell you the importance of good communication with their headquarters. It is no different with the Christian soldier who is also on the front lines in his struggle against the enemy; he needs good communication with his Commander in Chief. Prayer is essential as we wait to strike the enemy with just the right words from God so that it will penetrate their heart and win another victory for Christ. There are many kinds of prayers, and they are all useful in standing against the devil. There is intercessory prayer where we pray for others that God will meet their specific needs, there is a prayer of thanksgiving and praise, there is a prayer of repentance and confession, there is a prayer for a specific mission activity, there is prayer of meditation on God’s Holy Word, and there is prayer against the strongholds of the devil. It takes all kinds of prayer to stand against the wiles of the devil. Continue reading All Prayer

The Sword of the Spirit

Today’s article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier is the sword of the Spirit. This is the weapon that our Lord and Savior used against the devil in His wilderness temptations. Notice that the devil was the one who first quoted Old Testament scripture, which was then countered by Christ with another scripture. When Jesus Christ quoted scripture He shed light on the devil’s misinterpretation of God’s Word by putting it into its proper context. As we fast approach the end of days, many are coming out from the church, no longer resting under its authority and guidance for scriptural interpretation, which leaves many to interpret scripture as they feel led. The problem is who’s doing the leading, is it the Holy Spirit of God who leads us into all truth or is it the devil disguising himself as an angel of light? Continue reading The Sword of the Spirit

Satan’s Secret Invasion

We need to open our eyes wide so that we can see this satanic invasion.  As a child we feared a Russian invasion, as an adult there was talk about a possible alien invasion, and now we hear about a planned Muslim invasion. Yet, no one is talking about Satan’s secret invasion that’s been clandestinely building up his invasion forces to destroy humanity for the past one hundred years. Now everything is in place, the veil has been lifted, and the horror of the moment is being revealed to God’s servants as Satan and his demonic host is amassing an army unknown to modern man. As we uncover his diabolical plans and have our eyes opened wide to the massive destruction of humanity our heart may stop for a moment, while we attempt to grasp the gravity of our situation. As we draw closer to the end Satan’s works will become more widespread and obvious only to those who struggle against his demonic host. It’s rather sad to say that the greater part of humanity will remain blind until his destruction is complete, leaving only a faithful remnant to resist him while in captivity or with their last dying breath. The Helmet of Salvation

Today’s article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier is the helmet of salvation. If the devil cannot discourage you with doubt concerning your mission, then he will attack your very salvation. If he can get you to question the assurance of your salvation, then he has stopped you dead in your tracks. You will precede no further because your eyes are now back on self questioning your own salvation. The devil has silenced many Christians this way. Not only have they been silenced, but their spiritual growth has been stunted, and in many respects the transformation process has been halted. Dear friend, you must not let the old devil knock off the helmet of your salvation. Some Christians argue against the assurance of salvation because of what they see in nominal Christians. They question how a person can claim to be saved and act like the devil. They question the assurance of their salvation because they see no spiritual fruit. Indeed, some people do have false assurance because they are not really saved. They may publicly ask Jesus Christ to come into their heart with great joy, join a church, and be baptized. But they are like the ones in the parable told by our Lord where some quickly fell away when trouble or persecution came. There are others who hear the Word but do nothing with it because the worries of this life and deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful (see Matthew 13:21-22). Clearly these people are not Christians, and many of them rest under a false assurance of salvation. Continue reading The Helmet of Salvation
