What’s Impeding Your Faith?

The Bible says, “Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth (Luke 18:8b).” The answer is not a lot for most in the later days will allow many things to impede their faith. Although there will be a faithful remnant, I am sure that their faith will be mocked by the world. It will seem inconsistent with reason and against all the established norms of a pagan world. Unlike the faithless who had long given up their faith, they will continue to cry out day and night for God to vindicate them by righteously judging their oppressors. They will continue to cry out asking God to fulfill all His promises, especially the one that does not allow them to be tempted beyond what they can handle (See I Corinthians 10:13). Over the course of time they have learned well the things that impede their faith, being careful to resist them at every point. So, what are these things that impede our faith? Eternal Torment – Part II (Video)

In this second video of a two-part series it continues to demonstrate how God’s wrath is being poured out upon an evil and rebellious world as a foretaste of things to come during the Great Tribulation. For those who take the mark of the beast and worship his image, they will soon discover that there is nothing that they can do to relieve their pain, because of their rebellion against a Holy God. In the second video we closely examine what most Christians envision as the horrors of eternal torment in a literal hell. Please share with others.

The Shield of Faith

Today’s article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The shield of faith is the next piece of armor to be put on by the Christian soldier. As the Christian soldier goes deep into enemy territory to rescue the perishing the devil will hurl a volley of flaming arrows to discourage you in your pursuit. Upon receiving one of his arrows, you may experience strong emotions of fear, emptiness, aloneness, and doubt that comes in an instant when you least expect it, and then your spirit cries out in anguish begging for someone to listen to your plight. These arrows are all the more destructive in power. They have the ability to pierce and seriously wound the soldier. When the piercing arrows of depression, anger, and fear are filling the air, we must learn to take refuge behind the shield of faith (see Proverbs 30:5).  As we come together as believers, we can link our faith-shields to ward off the devil’s darts. The Belt of Truth

This article continues an eight week series on the armor of God. A very important part of being prepared spiritually for the “End Times” is being dressed in and utilizing the whole armor of God for Satan will be extremely powerful and even more deceptive because he knows that his time is short. The belt of truth is the first piece of armor to put on as we prepare to stand firm against the wiles of the devil; it’s what holds everything in place. The belt of truth is the absolute truth that’s given to us in the Christian Bible. Jesus Christ said that He is the Truth and often times emphasized that he was telling the truth. He also said that the Holy Spirit would lead us into all truth. The belt of truth is absolutely essential for standing firm against the father of lies. The deceptive lies of the devil have sent many to counseling centers and their local pharmacy to seek a remedy for their problems. As we shall see, putting on the belt of truth, that is bringing God’s truth to bear, will bring complete psychological and emotional healing to the Christian soldier. The stress is beyond measure as more people line up at the counselors office or stock up more food and ammo to prepare for the inevitable. And if we are honest many of us or the people we know may already be reaching their breaking point. As we enter a New Year then wisdom says we must insulate our self with the pure teaching of God’s Word now before we reach our breaking point. Continue reading Breaking Point
