Daniels Blog – Celebrating 22 Years of Online Ministry

After many years in the pastoral ministry that required personal one on one discipleship, door to door evangelism, preaching, teaching, and counseling, it was a tremendous change to minister to a faceless audience in an online ministry, which took time to develop long-distance relationships. Back in 1998, the worldwide web was still in its infancy, and building a website was not the easiest task. I still have fond memories of my wife and I visiting an internet provider owned and operated by my oldest son, Jonathan. He had his full-time programmer1998 Website help me build my first website from scratch with no pre-made templates or WordPress. But how does one have a presence on the worldwide web? Google was a big help in those early days when they were still relatively new. We grew together on how to make one’s website easily searchable for as many people as possible, trying one promotional idea after another. In the beginning, our online ministry mainly consisted of writing blog articles, which was an easy task for I had spent many years writing out all of my weekly sermons as a fulltime pastor. Many of these old sermons found their way into my new website with an eagerness to reach the world for Christ. Continue reading Daniels Blog – Celebrating 22 Years of Online Ministry

PRAYERS FOR THE LAST WEEK,  IN CASE YOU MISSED ONE

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/25/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for the many lessons that you have taught us on our long pilgrimage. One of the greatest lessons you have taught us is: “we can’t, but you can.” Fallen humanity has always sought to become their own overcomers by gathering their counselors, using their knowledge, and depending on their strength. Thank you, for teaching us that we can only be true overcomers when we learn to depend on you completely. We depend on you by seeking your counsel alone through the indwelling Spirit that gives us all the wisdom, the strength of character, and Spiritual guidance we need. When faced with so many problems in a fallen world and our own sinful nature, we have learned to depend on you alone to grow us into a beautiful new creation. When others pull us down, you are always there to lift us up with your divine love showing us our true value. We pray that you teach this most valuable lesson to all of your children so that they too can become overcomers and sit down with you on your heavenly throne. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne” (Revelation 3:21).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/24/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, many of your beloved children feel like an image of a person that suddenly fragments into a hundred pieces or they are struggling just to hold things together. Many are saying the pressure is unbelievable. Prayer requests on social media platforms are off the chart. Many have expressed the feeling that they simply don’t feel themselves. Or they sense a tremendous presence of the enemy. Also, many of us feel that something major will happen before the year’s end, that will shake the very foundations of our society and the world. Although we may feel as if the world around us is falling apart, we know that you remain the same. Your great and precious promises have not changed. They are still available to us, allowing us to actually participate in the divine nature if we only have faith. Help your precious children to stop trusting in the world and the works of their own hands, and to trust only in You; to not only see us through these dark days but to embrace heavenly bliss in all its glory. We pray this in the Blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (II Peter 1:4).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/23/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, we come humbly into your presence today willing to accept whatever truth you want to teach us, whatever truth we need to learn from your all-sufficient Word. Help us to always have an open mind about things to come knowing that our knowledge is not infinite. We understand that there is a real danger of developing a theological understanding of things to come from our own echo chamber, from those who tend to agree with us. To do so could solidify an understanding that is not correct. We simply cannot speak back to you, our Creator, saying, “This is the way things need to be.” If we, your beloved children, have done so, please forgive us and help us to have an open mind about things to come based only on the clear teachings of your Word. For we do know, with all assurance, that there will be a “strong delusion” in the last days that will blind many people to the truth. Thank you for teaching us that the truth does not dwell in wicked pride and outrageous lies. We pray this in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?” (Romans 9:20).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/22/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for showing us that we must be different from the world. We are so grieved that the world takes no thought of how their hateful and mean-spirited words are destroying one another. Even the news media is happy to carry these damaging words as legitimate news stories as their hateful rhetoric eats into the hearts of so many causing untold problems for years to come. The damage being caused by this hateful rhetoric is tearing at the very fabric of society creating open hostility in the streets of many of our great cities around the world. No longer do political enemies have a Monopoly on hateful rhetoric but we now see it spread through every social media platform. We pray that your children will mark their every word by thinking about them first and by bringing them before the indwelling Spirit prior to speaking them on social media, publicly, or even privately to another individual. Impress upon your children, Oh Lord, that their words should only build up and not tear down. There is great power in our words! We pray this in the most honored Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/21/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, we have seen through the study of history where whole nations and people have run completely in the opposite direction to escape what they fear most. We believe Satan has always used this to his diabolical advantage by making them susceptible to a far greater danger. Although fear has a great blinding effect, we pray that all of your beloved children would not fear what lies ahead on the left or the right so that their eyes can remain fully open. We know that there are great powers at work today in our world witnessed by the many people being led in one direction and then another. They have become easy pawns of their masters following one group then another spilling out into the streets of our cities around the world. We pray that your children would not fear those things coming upon the world that causes blind loyalty to man rather than our loyalty to God. Let us look only to you during these difficult days trusting in you alone to keep us safe and on the right path. We pray this in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe” (Proverbs 29:25).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/20/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. “Be gone, Satan!” We pray, Oh Lord, that in these days of deception that you will instruct all of your beloved children to keep this phrase in their mind and upon their lips. We are living in a day where it’s become way too easy to worship Satan and not even be aware of it. We are appalled at how those who claim to know you are worshiping men of great influence, political figures, or even religious personalities. They blindly follow them as they hang on to their every word as if it’s the gospel truth with no mixture of error. They blindly ignore all of their outrageous sins against your beautiful commandments along with their nauseating pride and relentless boasting. This following has blindly turned into praise and adoration that clearly borders on worship. We pray that this will stop immediately, especially amongst those who claim to know your Son, Jesus Christ as their Savior. We pray that they will firmly rebuke Satan who has cast a shadow over their eyes leading them to the threshold of worshiping man rather than God. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve”” (Matthew 4:10, ESV).

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/19/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, please wake up the world from its slumber. With these alarming great fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, and flooding, they are still asleep as they blame these increasing plagues on global warming or the current political leadership. Even more troubling, we see some of your own children blaming these things on conspiracy theories. Wake them up, Oh Lord, that all of these plagues are coming from the hand of You, our All Mighty God, to awaken fallen humanity of their many perverse and grievous sins. We pray that your beloved children will stop following the devil by spreading false rumors and start calling the world to repentance while they still have an opportunity to enter the door of Eternal Life. If we must let us proclaim the blessed Gospel of Jesus Christ from the rooftops of our dwellings. “Repent, for the Day of the Lord is at hand!” We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops” (Matthew 10:27).

Book of Prayers Daniel Blair-SmallFREE eBook

From the Introduction

As the author of these prayers, I have simply been the scribe. I had the privilege to sit at the Master’s feet every morning while in the Spirit allowing Him to dictate the needs and the direction of the faithful remnant living during these perilous times. These prayers are built on one another, as you progress throughout the year you will discover that they are woven together like a divine tapestry, with one eye on world events and the other on the sacred texts of God’s Word. These prayers came from my prayer closet guided by select biblical text, all 127 commands found in the New Testament, and many of the “one-another” Statements. These are prayers to strengthen your walk of faith in a hostile world.

The eBook is absolutely FREE, but donations are welcome to help defer the cost of our ministries.

Listed below is today’s Prayer by Rev. Daniel W. Blair.

Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair 9/26/2020

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for teaching us that these Spiritual gifts are not for our personal prestige and power. In fact, we are simply the conduit used by the indwelling Spirit to help others and to further your mission here on earth. If the Church is weak and worldly, it’s because they have not allowed you to place them in the church where they need to be and to use the Spiritual gifts that you have so graciously given to them for the common good. We pray that all of your beloved children will discover their own unique Spiritual gifts and use them to build up your Kingdom here on earth. What a tremendous joy it is to allow you to touch others through us as we use of our Spiritual gifts. It’s way beyond just being nice to others, it’s giving them exactly what they need at that very moment as we exercise the use of our unique Spiritual gift. Help us to see that every gift is important. We pray that we always use our Spiritual gifts to the glory of God. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant” (I Corinthians 12:1).
