Progression of Biblical Prophecy a Tribute to Earth Day

At what rate is Biblical Prophecy being fulfilled is the biggest question occupying the mind of religious man. From the first century until now every generation believed theirs was the last, and rightly so, because it was written in such a way that every successive generation would prepare for Christ’s return. To deal with the world-wide plagues and catastrophic disaster’s in the book of Revelation most have either put them during a seven-year period of the Great Tribulation (either before or after the rapture) or have simply spiritualized the events. To choose the latter would dismiss the wrath of God, and to choose the former would not allow for the natural unfolding of events, but see them all unfolding at an alarming rate, sending the world’s population into panic and extreme shock. On the other hand, what if we interpreted it beyond the confines of a seven-year period where all the Biblical prophecies are being naturally unfolded over a longer period of time that stretches from the first century until all is fulfilled.

To do so should not negate the fact that we must always be ready for Christ’s return at any moment. So, why would we entertain an idea like this, waiting for all Biblical Prophecy to be fulfilled in its time. I believe to do so would immediately open our eyes to see the progression of Biblical Prophecy from the pollution of our oceans to the eventual death of every sea creature. To do so would see the progression of the welfare State to allowing even more of the world’s population to totally depend on the government. To do so would see the technological advancements necessary for controlling the population by assigning a number, a mark, and a way to always know their exact location. To do so would see the progression of introducing more drugs to keep the population slightly sedated and easier to manage. To do so would see the progression of all the plagues and catastrophic disasters caused by the neglect of our world, its ecosystem, and their failure to implement regulations that keep fallen humanity from destroying the earth.

Well, if we refuse the progression of Biblical Prophecy then we will be continually side-tracked and led astray by every so-called Prophet and his or her latest Prophecy. They say that the frog misses the progression of the water’s temperature being slightly increased until it’s too late and the water is already boiling. In the same way, let’s not miss the progression of world events, but do everything we can to be good stewards of our beautiful earth. Let’s not miss the progression, but teach people to work for their living and not become depended upon the State. Let’s not miss the progression, but see the real and present danger of mind-altering drugs. Let’s not miss the progression, but refuse any kind of technology that would track our location or attempt to mark us in some way for our so-called benefit. Let’s not miss the progression.

So just how bad do things need to get before Christ returns? Because no one knows the day or hour, it can be at any time. However, if we conclude that the trumpets and bowls of God’s wrath is real, but happens in a short time frame, then God would need to turn the heat up rather quickly. As we have already seen the plagues and calamities have been progressively gotten worse since the First Century and it would not take much to push the ecosystem beyond repair, to cause a cascade of events. For example, the pollution of the seas (the Second Trumpet) will in its time turn into the mass extinction of all sea life as we know it (The Second Bowl). For another example wars and rumors of war will in its time turn into Armageddon where the Kings of the East decide to attack the West, the epicenter of Christianity and freedom of religion. For example, the pollution of our water supply (the Third Trumpet) will in its time turn into the pollution of all drinking water on a global scale (the Third Bowl). For another example air pollution in many of the great cities around the world (the Fourth Trumpet) will in its time turn into a global epidemic of lung disease and death. In time this pollution will also break down the ozone layer as witnessed in (the Fourth Bowl) causing excessive sun burns, skin cancer and even death. No one would venture outside without protective clothing and face mask.

I hope that you can see from these few examples that end-time prophecy is progressive, God has given us a clear signpost of things to come with ample opportunity to turn things around through repentance of sin, and to stop destroying the earth out of greed, selfishness, and neglect. The capstone to these events is the Beast who will control most of the countries in the world and specifically the Western countries along with the United States of America. Although, we do not know who this end-time Beast is, there have been many over the centuries who could have easily fulfilled his agenda by having total control of the population through buying and selling, and regulating the acceptable State Religion. Of course, this State Religion could easily encompass all religions or none, but worship of the Beast would be mandatory. Although like the examples we saw above, this progression would be so slow that no one (except God’s chosen elect) would know that they are being controlled or worshipping a world leader. Like the analogy of the frog, dear Christian, let’s not be overtaken by concentrating on every little event and missing the big picture.

We will all agree that the Day of the Lord, Christ’s glorious Second Coming, is at hand where things will progress in its time from the sounding of the Trumpets to the pouring out of the bowls of God’s wrath where no one knows the exact time. Although we do know it will move rather slow in its time from partial fulfillment of prophecy to the total destruction of our planet earth as we now know it, moving so slow and methodically that the completing of God’s wrath will be missed by the majority of the population. The world will somehow accept (or miss) the total pollution of the sea, air and water; they will miss the control of the Beast and the world government, they will miss the mark (whatever form it takes), while most will be focused on individual events, they will miss the big picture and will not be ready for the return of Christ. Dear Christian, I look to spare you of that, so prepare today by keeping your eyes open to the progression of prophecy. It’s happening now, open your eyes and see the big picture. We don’t need the scientist to tell us that the earth is in trouble, we simply need to look at the progressiveness of prophecy.

“For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:38-39).

  1. Definitely agree with this article. It saddens me to see the world going the way it is… but also know that it is the Lord’s words being fulfilled. and the time is shorter than many think! God bless you, and keep on with your good work.

  2. Wow! This is so true Brother Blair! People our age and even older can remember a planet already in the throws of progressive destruction, but wasn’t nearly so bad, as it is now! As a student of end time prophecy, I believe these things as well! I would add, that not only has the Earth been chipped away in progressive destruction, but so has the human race! It’s sad, because I remember, what I like to call the last days of the church at Philadelphia….people were more faithful, kinder, knew their neighbors and helped each other…..they were of a like mind, to love God, and to love each other…..I believe now, we are in the midst of the Church of Laodicean….the last church age, and all of the things you wrote about , are here with us today! I wish people weren’t deluded, because of wickedness, even a large portion of the church today! But, you are exactly right! We have been under progressive prophecy and still are! Sad, that the bulk of the world is blind! God bless!
