Some say there are no prophets today, while others say the gift of prophecy no longer exists. To listen to the prophets in any age will take a great deal of discernment. There have been false prophets from the beginning proclaiming things out of their own vain imagination. God and his elect prophets have always been very critical of these false prophets prophesying either what the people want to hear or their own made-up prophecies that always confuse the people. Any serious student of the Bible who is filled with the Holy Spirit knows full well that the gift of prophecy will not cease until the perfect One, Jesus Christ, comes to usher in His eternal Kingdom. I have taught for many years that there is no new prophecy other than what’s already in the Bible but that does not negate the fact that the Spirit can also give us a deeper insight into the written prophecy that already exists and direct us to apply it properly to the age in which we are living. We have a responsibility to adhere to the true prophets for every age from the First Century until now. As. God’s beloved children, we must listen to the prophets with great discernment.
We also have a mandate to use every Spiritual gift bestowed upon us, God’s new creations in Christ. The Spiritual gifts are still needed and useful for building up the Body of Christ, His beloved Church. The true Spiritual gifts of God will always build up and never tear down. Each Spiritual gift is used to bring God’s children to a closer walk with Him by putting off the old life and putting on the new life in Christ. This is also true for the gift of prophecy. Although the gift warns of the dangers and the darkness that seek to lead God’s children astray, the gift of prophecy is not meant to condemn or separate us from the love of God. Although the gift of prophecy will often lead others to come out from the fallen brethren or the wickedness of the world, it is never the place of the prophets to speak condemnation upon fallen humanity. The wrath of God will always speak for itself, humanity will always reap what it has sown (Galatians 6:7-8). This is a law that can never be broken or changed. Although God has abounding grace to forgive true repentance, humanity must still reap the consequences of their sins, even if they are measured, in certain circumstances, by a loving God.
The goal of the prophets is always to lead people to true repentance, to turn from their wicked ways, and serve a loving God. The prophets also speak directly to all those who claim to be God’s children but have taken on the ways of an evil world. This article hopefully will speak directly to them in their current situation no matter how dire they feel it has become. Remember, God loves you. The Bible says, “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not (Hebrews 12:6-7)? No one likes to be disciplined even by a loving father. God as our Heavenly Father will not turn a blind eye upon our unrighteousness. Do you think God can’t see all the greed? Do you think God cannot see your corruption? Do you think He can’t see your lust and sexual promiscuity? Do you think that our Heavenly Father can’t see how you have evicted Him from your government and your schoolhouse? Yes, God sees all this plus your homosexuality, your pride, your arrogance, and your flagrant disobedience to all His beautiful commandments. God sees it all, He sees everything.
So, how does God discipline His children, those who claim to know His Son, Jesus Christ, as their Savior? This is a very important question that must be answered. God does not come down from Heaven with a large paddle to discipline us like our earthly fathers did when we misbehaved. Before proceeding it’s necessary to understand that there is both individual and corporate discipline. Individual discipline is very personal. It’s where the individual being disciplined by God can see the handwriting on the wall either through his own observation or from another believer helping him to see his fault (Galatians 6:1-2). In time the individual can see himself or agree with another that his insurmountable problems are the direct result of his disobedience to God. Corporate discipline, on the other hand, needs the voice of God’s prophet, for it often concerns an entire nation of people. We see this often in the Bible where God disciplines a whole nation of people for turning their back on Him and following the ways of the world. This happened first with the Northern Kingdom and then Judea by allowing a foreign power to conquer them and then carry their people off into a life of bondage. Eventually, this cured God’s people of their idolatry, then they were brought back into their own land. Throughout history, God has raised up and brought down kingdoms using them often to discipline His children. In every case, God raised up His prophets to speak to the nations, to be His mouthpiece. This is corporate discipline.
In the last days, the whole world will be divided between the East and the West. This was caused in large part by the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its persistent march toward the West leaving the Eastern kingdoms in the hands of Islam. This natural division would leave most of God’s beloved children in the West. In time, however, as the Western nations developed, they saw a lesser need for God and Christianity in particular. Their new cherished democracies embraced the acceptance of all religious faiths and perverted lifestyles to be intricately woven into their societies. In time there has been a great falling away from the faith of our forefathers. In time the Christian God was booted out of public education and removed from the role of political leadership in their governments. Laws were changed to accommodate atheists and those of a perverted lifestyle. Although this movement was originally started in America it has taken root in nearly every nation in the West. Although most believers in Christ can easily recognize God’s personal discipline, it has become much more difficult to see the hand of God disciplining whole nations who have turned away from Him. We need to listen to the prophets.
The true prophets of God have been speaking now for many years proclaiming that global warming and so-called natural disasters are the consequences of the people’s many sins. Every country and nation of people will be affected by the righteous hand of God as He pours out His plagues of famine, disease, and viruses on an unrepentant people. As we approach the end, each of God’s plagues will worsen to a global proportion. Yet, there is one last thing to complete God’s wrath on fallen humanity. The Bible says, “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared” (Revelation 16:12). In our day this preparation is already at hand to open a way for the Kings of the East to devour all of Europe and then to America, Babylon. President Putin and the Russian Empire will be used by God to strengthen the military might of the West into a defensive posture drawing them into the coming conflict when he eventually opens the way for the Kings of the East to flow easily into Eastern Ukraine and all of Europe. This is accomplished by developing a landbridge from Odesa on the Black Sea to Belarus in the North.
All of God’s children are weeping for those who are being harmed by the Russian army. It breaks our hearts to see the little children affected by this ruthless enemy. What’s on the horizon, however, will be much more devastating especially when the hordes from the East breakthrough and especially when some, or all, will launch their nuclear warheads toward the West and specifically America. The prophetic voice of God will not warn His children to take a defensive military posture, but the prophet will warn them to repent and turn back to God. This is the only thing that will turn back the hand of God. Wake up dear children the clock is ticking, and your time is growing shorter every day. When a very strong leader arises in the West promising you safety and security it will not save you from the inevitable unless each of your nations repent of their many transgressions against God’s Holy Law. This is the beginning of the end for each of your mighty nations in the West. Your increased sanctions against those invading countries whom you fear will not save you. Increasing your military alertness will not save you. NATO will not save you. Your atomic arsenal will not save you. Your threats and political maneuvering will not save you. The only thing that will save you and the nation currently under attack is true repentance before God. Please encourage everyone to turn back to God while they still have time.
