As the battle lines are drawn between North Korea and the United States there is a greater battle to be waged. As the battle lines are drawn between the liberals and conservatives there is a greater battle to be waged. As the battle lines are drawn between those who want to make Jerusalem the capital of Israel and those who don’t there is a greater battle to be waged. A battle of all battles that will end life on earth as we now know it. This last war to be waged on earth is between the children of Light and the sons of darkness. This will not be your typical battle. Nuclear and biological weapons will not suffice. Protests and marches will have no effect. Even putting together a digital army in the millions, will not change the outcome. The last war to be waged on earth will be directed by God, our true Commander in Chief. A war that will truly defeat the enemy and scuttle the sons of darkness. God is doing and will continue to do His part. He is calling His children, the children of Light, to do their part.

We will discuss our part first, then God’s part. Believe me, the saying is true you will either be for us or against us, there will be no sitting on the fence. Fence sitting is reserved for the lukewarm church and believe me you do not want to be a part of that group! The Bible says concerning the lukewarm church, “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:16). To be cast out as unbelievers into utter darkness. To experience the horrible consequences of pure evil, a filth that cannot be easily washed off. The good news however is that even this last representative church on earth has a chance to repent. The Bible says, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:19-20). To do so will allow you to become a true child of Light and join Him in the last battle here on earth.

Yes, we still have a chance to become true children of Light and join Jesus Christ in the battle. Amen. To be a true child of Light there must not be any darkness at all. The Bible says, “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8). So, to walk as children of Light we must get rid of, turn from, all evil. To not look on it or embrace it. Of course, the Bible tells the new believers how to do it. To put off the old sin filled life and in the place of it put on the new life modeled after Christ. Embrace and model the new Christian attributes, the fruit of the Spirit, which is, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (See Galatians 5:22-23). To do so in time will see a full harvest of this Spiritual fruit. It will not be long before you realize all that’s in the world, everything taught and practiced, is opposed to your Christian faith. For now we are children of Light and can no longer walk in darkness.

So, how do we join the battle? The Bible says, “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light” (Romans 13:12). Putting on the armor of Light clearly indicates that we have cast off the works of darkness, which means we are no longer participating in the works of darkness. We no longer listen to their teachings or entertainment that mock God. No longer do we allow our children or grandchildren to listen to their teachings or entertainment that mock God. To teach evolution in their schools or in their entertainment mocks God. It’s also a mockery to teach and accept their other lifestyles of homosexuality and the transgender, the killing of unborn children, and their other so-called gods. Trust me, the Muslims are not the Klingons and their religion does not deserve our respect. We simply can no longer listen to the lies of this age. To do so is a mockery and clearly dims our Light and puts us on the fence with the lukewarm church. If we are not with Him, then we are truly against Him in the battle being waged against the powers of darkness.

To put on the armor of Light projects the Light of God. The Light of God is His holiness for all to see. To project this Light is to project everything good and decent. Everything that He has done and doing for His beloved children. To just say that God has saved us misses all the beauty of that salvation. He has saved us from the powers of the enemy. We are no longer held captive by his lies. We have been set free to live a brand-new life in Christ. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (II Corinthians 5:17). To believe the lies of the enemy, that you still need to grapple with your old life, calls God a liar. God said if you are in Christ (a believer) then you are a new creation; the old has gone. To believe the lies of the enemy, that you need the world’s counsel, is to call God a liar, because He said that He has given us everything we need for life and godliness. To be a child of Light and join Him in the battle we must believe His teachings and not the world’s. Furthermore, we have the Gift of the Holy Spirit who comes bearing Spiritual Gifts to protect, encourage and lead us, His children, to victory over the enemy and his lies. Beyond the physical realm there is the Spiritual where we must also take the battle, which I have written extensively about in my book Stand Firm, but beyond the scope of this article. We soon discover that the enemy is powerless to overcome the Gospel message proclaimed boldly by all His children, children of the Light.

Now for God’s part. We must come out from among them. The Bible says, “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4). The good news is, if we heed the angel’s voice and truly come out as stated above, proving ourselves to be children of Light, then we will not receive of her plagues (See also I Thessalonians 5:9). On the other hand, if we don’t heed the angel’s voice and continue living in darkness, we will experience the full measure of God’s wrath along with the rest of fallen humanity. Take a moment and read through the book of Revelation or listen to it on Tribulation Radio every night. Friends, God’s wrath is serious and should give everyone a wake-up call. Let me be clear that God’s wrath is not meant to punish, that will come later, but to open the eyes of the unbelievers. Our job as the children of Light is to let the world know what’s happening, to encourage them to accept the truth claims of the Gospel. We must work hand in hand with God, in this last war to be waged on earth. Amen
