What is the Devil's Motto

Divide and Conquer is the Devil’s Motto

There’s coming a time when the entire world will be united behind the devil’s representative here on earth, the Beast. Before that can happen every religious and philosophical thought must be brought to naught in the eyes of the world. They must all appear divisive, counterproductive, and worthless in man’s quest for perfection in a new age of enlightenment. All world religions and spiritual quest of a higher power must be soundly defeated in order to bring the entire world to the altar of the Beast. When one looks intently upon the world stage it becomes obvious that the old Devil is dividing the world religions by ruthlessly pitting one against another raising up one crusade and then another. Over the Centuries, Millions have died in the name of religion while the world grows ever more noxious and repugnant toward anything called god. Furthermore, it has turned many away from hearing the Gospel when they see the devilish division amongst those who claim to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. “What infinite mischief have needless divisions occasioned in the Christian world! Divide et impera (divide and conquer) is the Devil’s motto” (George Whitfield’s Journals).

From the beginning the Devil has worked hard to destroy the unity of believers in Christ. To this day he is piercing the armor of the Christian soldier by bolstering his pride, self-worth, and inflated ego. One does not have to linger long on the social network Facebook to have this so ruthlessly demonstrated among those claiming to be Christian. Unfortunately the other extreme believes everything for the sake of tolerance as they happily sing kumbaya. We must look between these two extremes to find the truth which is the key to unity. Why did Christ and His apostles work so hard for Christian unity? (See Ephesians 4:1-6; Philippians 2:1-11) Why did Jesus make this a main tenet of His high priestly prayer to the Father? (See John 17:22-23) Clearly the unity of Christ’s followers would demonstrate not only their love for one another, but demonstrate to a lost and dying world that they were children of the one true God. That in itself would be a powerful witness in the last days when the Devil is working to divide God’s children thus killing their witness. Moreover, unity of God’s people is an imperative for standing firm against the Devil’s schemes.

While some Christians have separated over major theological issues respecting salvation, many others have separated over the smallest of theological issues fragmenting the Church. Not only has this become a blight on the unbelieving world, it has hurt the individual Christian by offering him a smorgasbord of different beliefs where his opinion is just as valid as the next. Even the Bible as the Christian’s supreme authority, has been diluted, reinterpreted, and changed to such a degree that he feels no problem in adopting his own faith and set of values in a confused world. So the key to unity and our strength to stand shoulder to shoulder with other Christians around the world is by returning to our classic faith. Returning to faith is the key. We must return to the heart of our faith. This is a faith that believes beyond the superficial faith of just believing in the historical facts of Christ’s death and resurrection on the Cross of Calvary or you say that, “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even demons believe that – and shutter” (James 2:19). It must move beyond the elementary doctrines of our faith concerning baptism, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, the eternal judgment, and teachings about righteousness. (See Hebrews 6:1-2)

We must return to an iconic faith, a faith so strong that it can move mountains, still the storms, and raise the dead. (See Matthew 17:20) We must return to the faith that believes that God is transforming us into a new creation were old things pass away and behold all things are new. (See II Corinthians 5:17) Have we learned to put off the old and put on the new as our behavior is being changed by the almightily God from the inside out? (See Ephesians 4:20-52) We must return to a faith that believes that God has really given us everything we need for life and godliness. (See II Peter 1:3) Do we believe that through His great and precious promises that we can participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires? (See II Peter 1:4) We must return to a faith that believes that nothing can separate us from the love of God. (See Romans 8:37-39) We must return to a faith that believes that no one can snatch us from the Father’s hand and that includes the devil and all of his malicious lies. (See John 10:27-30; 6:37) Do we believe that our citizenship is already in heaven? (Philippians 3:20)

Jesus Christ said, “…when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth (Luke 18:8)?” In fact it is only the faithful remnant that’s able to withstand the coming holocaust. They have learned the key to unity as they stand firmly together in the midst of the greatest trials and tribulation to ever descend upon the earth. But first of all we as Christians must return to the iconic faith and join with others who also have this faith. It’s time to stop apologizing for our faith. It’s time to stop following the world in their quest to solve their multitude of problems apart from Jesus Christ. God is more than capable of solving all of our problems. He is capable of making us into a beautiful person free from anxiety, depression, and a host of other psychological and emotional problems. By returning to this iconic faith and encouraging other Christians to do the same will take the first step toward unity. No longer should we judge a Christian by the name of his church or denomination. Rather we should seek unity of all brothers and sisters who hold to the faith of what God has done for us and currently doing for us through our faith. Do you really want to stand firm in the last days and not be led astray? If so then we must develop a “solid theological belief system” built on love for God and love for our fellow man. I have done just that in my newest book, “Stand Firm.” To a deeply broken church we must seek unity among all true believers in Christ no matter what church they choose to worship: Jesus seeks a bride, not a harem.
