Subject: “Lying lips are an abomination”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, we know that there are many things happening in the world right now that convince your beloved children that we are indeed living in the last days. Yet, there is one more thing that most of your people don’t think about as ushering in the last days; one more abomination that’s also destructive to society, lying lips. Never do we remember a time or one that we can recall, where there has been so much lying, not only in the mainstream media but also among the nation’s leaders and most alarming even among professed believers. Clearly, you are showing us that excessive lying among the world’s population is not only ushering in the last days, but it’s also destroying the society of men that will lead to hate, murder, riots, and mayhem. We pray that all of your children will think through everything they say, write or sing, to ensure that it’s the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It may mean that some will need to remain quiet until they receive confirmation from you, through the indwelling Spirit validated by Scripture. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight” (Proverbs 12:22).

Subject: “Are you led by the Spirit?”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, if our hearts break when our children, friends, and close relationships don’t follow your Spirit, we can only imagine how it breaks your heart. So many times, we have witnessed how the old sin nature raised its ugly head enticing them to make foolish and harmful decisions casting them further away from you. We have witnessed their deep hurts caused by their bad decisions and resulting behavior, which also affected others around them. If they had only tried harder to listen to your direction through the indwelling Spirit, it would have spared them of so much pain. We pray that all of your children will hide your words in their hearts through meditation allowing the indwelling Spirit to bring it back to their memories when needed for your direction. We pray that you will teach them how to hear your beautiful words and how to recognize that they are coming from you through the indwelling Spirit. Then lead them to act on them alone rebuking their old sin nature and turning a deaf ear toward the enemy of their souls, the ole devil. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” (Romans 8:14, ESV).

 Subject: “Ability to Receive Wisdom”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for your heavenly wisdom that leads us in making the right decisions. We need your wisdom, especially in these dark days. We know a lot of your children pray for your wisdom but don’t bother to listen, while others will pray only after their decision is made, then asking you to bless it. To do so has no benefit for your children. We also have some people who call upon your name as believers but don’t receive your wisdom or anything else from you. We pray that you will open the eyes of these professed believers that their wavering faith, believing one minute and not the next, is keeping them from receiving anything from you. One minute they act like a strong believer and the next minute like an unbelieving heathen ready to throw in the proverbial towel. Help them to see that an unstable person in their faith will receive nothing from you. We pray that their faith will be consistent in both good times and in bad times, especially now that we are entering the Great Tribulation. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” (James 1:7-8, Read v. 5-6).

 Subject: “Preparation for Eternity”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, where has all the time gone. This becomes a glowing reality when our children reach close to that over-the-hill mark of fifty. In our early days, the days seemed longer and more eventful as you lovingly knocked off those larger chunks of the old sin nature. On the other hand, as we approach our twilight years the days move faster, the memories grow founder as we rejoice in becoming more like you, our Lord. As our bodies grow frailer even with extensive workout and eating healthier, we long to be in our new heavenly bodies. Although we will be absent from this body, we will be at home with you, our Lord. We pray that all of your beloved children will see this very short span on earth as simply a staging area, a proving ground, to prepare for eternity in heaven. We pray that every hour of every day will be focused on putting off the old life and putting on the new life in Christ. Help them to experience the miracle of transformation that’s happening now. It’s glorious! We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord” (II Corinthians 5:8).

Subject: “How can I prepare for the end?”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Oh Lord, you know well, how your children are so integrated within the social fabric of our society. At times it’s most difficult to tell that your people are any different than the people of the world. They may act differently in Church and try their best when around other mature believers, but you are keenly aware of how they act when socializing with those in the world. We pray, Father, that you will help them to truly come out from among them and be separate. Show them if they truly act like Christians filled with your Spirit, then it will be much easier because the world will come out from them. In fact, in most cases, they will be shunned by the world or openly ridiculed. Help them, Lord, to guard their eyes and ears by immediately turning away from evil people or gently cutting off their hateful talk by sharing the simple Gospel with great power, but only as you lead. Finally, help them to grow up in Christ, so that they can let their light shine brightly before the world. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (II Corinthians 6:17).

 Subject: “Rejoice in the Lord”

Good morning Heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, thank you, Lord, for our lives, for everything that you have given to us. We have observed that every time we enter into deep spiritual prayer, we have a smile on our face and tremendous joy in our hearts. Even in the midst of our many troubles in life, often caused by our own foolish decisions, we can still rejoice in knowing and loving you, our Savior. We rejoice always, knowing and believing that our God will never leave us in the midst of the storm. Even though at times it seems like it’s more than we can handle, you have always given us a glimmer of hope to see us through, because we had spiritual eyes to see. We pray for your beloved children, during this time of great suffering around the globe, that they will cast their minds upon all the good you have done for them and not allow their selves to be overcome by the evil all around them. Teach them how to rejoice at all times even in the midst of their greatest trials. We pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice” (Philippians 4:4).

 Subject: “We are Ambassadors”

Good morning Heavenly Father. We are most grieved today for our loss of the importance and ability for true one on one discipleship, especially in the age of social media. However, most alarming, especially on social media, is the negligence of who we are in Christ. There was a time when true believers would ensure that the bright light of their holiness in Christ never wavered for even a minute, especially in public. We realized that immediately that our behavior could actually cause other less mature believers to stumble. We also realized that our inconsistency could set a bad example for an unbelieving world. We were ambassadors for Christ! As young ambassadors, we often sought the private counsel of more mature believers taking full advantage of one-on-one discipleship. We pray today that all of your beloved children will return to this biblical model and stop their public outburst allowing the unbelieving world to see their inconsistencies in moral behavior. How tragic that some have done so to simply garner sympathy not realizing that they could cause a younger brother or sister to stumble. We humbly pray this in the blessed Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God” (II Corinthians 5:20).
