Christian Soldiers It's Time to Fight Back

Christian Soldiers It’s Time to Fight Back

Evil has gone unchecked for way too long in this country and around the world. It’s time. Christian soldiers it’s time to fight back. If we don’t all will be lost. It’s not the Muslims we should fear. It’s not North Korea or Iran. It is the evil one who is waging war against the hearts of men and women, and winning the war. Step by step he is taking the entire world captive to perform every evil intention of their mind. To strip them of all morality and the sense of right and wrong. To lead them into every manner of perversion and wickedness. To give them the illusion that they can help themselves with the latest counseling of humanistic psychiatry and their taking of prescription drugs. Stand up Christian soldiers it’s time to fight back.

This is a real war with casualties on both sides. We can no longer sit back and allow evil to destroy this country and the world. New and improved legislation will not put evil in check. It will not change the heart of man. It will not stop the mass shootings or the senseless killings. As God’s children we are the only hope for humanity. As soldiers of the Cross we are the only ones who can really put evil in check. We are the only ones who can overcome the enemy. How long will we sit in our churches or on the mountain top and do nothing? Casualties are mounting on both sides. Have you not noticed that the mass killings are getting closer together now? That everyone is at a loss as to the motive. The real motive for the killings. The world does not have the answer. The government does not have the answer. The man on the street does not have the answer. The other world religions do not have the answer. Dear friends and fellow soldiers we are the only ones who have the answer. We must fight back, or all will be lost.

So how does the Christian fight back? How can we wage war against the enemy? Is it possible to turn back the tide of evil in this country and around the world? Yes, it is possible. As God’s soldiers we can turn back the tide of evil. We can render a fatal blow to the enemy. You might be saying, “I can’t do that!” I would agree, you can’t but He can. God working through His soldiers will not only turn back the evil, but He will ultimately destroy it. Although the battle belongs to the Lord, He chooses to do this work through His soldiers, soldiers of the Cross.1  Although God will continue to pour out His wrath on all ungodliness, He will still do His greatest work through His soldiers, soldiers of the Cross.2 All the power of the universe is put at our disposal to be used in our fight against the enemy. This is the same power that created the world. This is the same power that raised Christ from the grave. This is the same power that made you into a new creation. All this and much more is available to the Christian soldier if he is willing to put on the full armor of God and join Him in the fight. Christian do you want to learn how to wage war against the enemy or do you want to just sit back and watch the casualties mount up on both sides?

If you say, yes, I want to fight back, then the first step is to ensure that you are a true follower of Christ. That you believe that God has made you into a new creation and old things are passing away. 3You believe that God has forgiven you of all your sins as well as the guilt. 4You believe that the Holy Spirit resides in you.5  Giving you your own unique Spiritual Gifts and helping you to become all that Christ wants you to be by producing all the Spiritual fruits in their season.6 You believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God who came as all man and all God to die on the Cross and be raised to life on the third day, and sits on His throne in Heaven next to the Father.7 You believe in the Gospel message that we are saved by grace and not by works, lest any man should boast.8 Finally, along with many other things, you believe that God is growing you from one degree of glory to another.9 If you believe these things you have taken your first step in becoming a soldier of the Cross. Ready to fight back.

Secondly, it’s time to put on the full armor of God.10 Without it my friend you will not stand against the enemy. You will not be able to repel the flaming arrows of the evil one. You will end up as a Christian casualty. So, let’s put on the full armor of God. One piece at a time. The helmet of salvation.11 You must be truly saved in the Lord. Then we put on the belt of truth.12  Knowing and believing that God has made you into a new creation where old things are truly passing away.13 This is key to fighting our fight against the enemy who has convinced the unbelieving world that they are still in bondage to the old life. That they are in need of worldly counselors and psychiatric drugs to deal with their incurable condition. It is these drugs that have opened Pandora’s Box allowing the enemy to enter into their hearts and minds. To lead them to do the most horrific crimes against humanity. To practice every form of perversion and wickedness. Although the belt of truth encompasses all the truth claims of the Bible and the proclamation of that truth to fallen humanity, it must encompass the truth that we are new creations growing spiritually from one degree of glory to another.14

Now we are ready for the breastplate of righteousness.15 Without this you will be soundly defeated by the enemy the moment you take the field. You cannot fight evil with evil. You cannot fight hate with hate. You cannot fight anger with anger. Our success in the field, in our fight against the enemy is measured by how diametrically opposite we are of evil. As we become more obedient to the laws of Christ and producing every Spiritual fruit we begin to realize our profound strength in Christ to overcome the enemy. We are not stationary soldiers.16 We don’t simply sit in the church building, but we are quite mobile and must be, if we are going to engage the enemy. The enemy is whispering in one ear, we must be there speaking in the other. We must allow our feet to take us to the people who are being ravished by the enemy. They need to hear the gospel of peace when their lives are filled with turmoil, confusion, and anxiety. For everyone released from captivity renders a blow to the enemy and puts him to flight.

Of course, Christian soldier, you are not going to get very far without faith. So, when we take up the shield of faith it will extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 The enemy knows without faith we are useless in the field of battle. Without faith our many and varied Spiritual Gifts are useless. Without faith we have no access to the power of heaven. Dear soldier, we must have faith. Trust me the enemy can be ruthless and the first thing he will attack is your faith telling you that you have no power to stand against him. Telling you that this job is for the more experienced. That this job is for the pastor, who do you think you are trying to rescue those who have been taken captive by me, the devil says. But the Lord says, Pick up your shield of faith. Then pick up the sword of the Spirit to render a blow against the enemy.18 Dear soldier, you need to have God’s Word written on your heart and ready to be flung at the enemy when we are led by the indwelling Spirit. Just try to minister to that antagonistic neighbor. Just try to tell him that God’s has all the answers to his problems and the enemy will try to trip you up, but you have the most powerful weapon in your arsenal. The sword of the Spirit. So, use it dear soldier and free another captive and render a blow to the enemy.

Christian soldiers it’s time to fight back. If we don’t, casualties will continue to mount up on both sides. The war is raging. The wrath of God is being poured out.19 It’s time to fight back. Every time you release someone from captivity you will render a blow to the enemy. Amen

  1. AMEN Brother Blair!! I am a soldier In God’s army!! This is one on fire message. Praise God!!! I have this in my notes Brother Blair and I hope it’s ok to share it here for it encourages me as I hope it will others.
My Creed…. I Am a Soldier in the Army of God
I Am a Soldier in the Army of God
I am a soldier in the army of God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my commanding officer. The Holy Bible is my Code of Conduct. Faith, prayer, and the Word are my weapons of warfare. I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire.
I am a volunteer in this army and I am enlisted for eternity. I will either retire in this army at the rapture or die in this army; but I will not get out, sell out, be talked out, or pushed out. I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable. If my God needs me, I am there. If He needs me in the Sunday school, to teach the children, work with the youth, help adults or just sit and learn, He can use me because I am there.
I am a soldier. I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up or pepped up. I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me. I am a soldier. I am not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name, and building His kingdom! No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy or give me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for, or catered to. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.
When Jesus called me into this army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing, I will still come out ahead. I will win. My God has and will continue to supply all of my need. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ. The devil cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me and hell cannot handle me. I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my Commander calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to Captain and then allow me to rule with Him. I am a soldier in the army, and Im marching, claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not run around. I am a soldier, marching heaven bound.
