Christmas

God forgive us for losing the meaning of Christmas by placing so much emphasis on self. Help us dear Lord to recover the true meaning of Christmas as a time of remembrance for your humble beginnings and your supreme example of selfless love for others. Show us dear Lord how to give to others what they truly need rather than showering them with gifts that feed their vanity or gifts that strengthen their bondage to this world. Help us to be a true light this Christmas by reflecting your glory to all. May each of you experience a blessed Christmas.

Stand Up

I just read an article that says the Church in America will soon go underground. My response: “It is not time to go underground. It is time to stand up for what you believe in and proclaim truth from the rooftops if necessary. It is time to stand up and confront those going into psychological counseling centers and tell them that God has given them everything they need for life and godliness in His Word. It is time to stand up and confront those going into the abortion clinics and tell them that God loves them and their baby they are about to kill. God help us if we do not stand up for the truth. Rev. Daniel W. Blair will stand for the truth and engage the real enemy.”

Persecution

“He fell down devoutly upon his knees, desiring Almighty God to forgive his enemies…Then was he hanged up by the middle in chains of iron, and so consumed alive in the fire, praising the name of God so long as his life lasted; the people, there present, showing great dolour (sorrow). And this was done A.D. 1418…Thus resteth this valiant Christian knight, Sir John Oldcastle, under the altar of God, which is Jesus Christ, among the godly company, who, in the kingdom of patience, suffered great tribulation with the death of their bodies, for His faithful word and testimony.” (Foxe’s Book of Martyrs) Help us, dear Lord, to make the good confession and to forgive our enemies if placed in a similar fate.

Religious Tolerance

Christ taught us to love all people. His Holy Apostles taught us to speak the truth in love, which was followed by the early Christian martyrs. In the power of God’s Holy Spirit, they confessed that their persecutors were idolaters, devil worshipers, and followed the doctrine of demons. Why is the contemporary Christian mute when it comes to the Muslim or other world religions that follow false prophets and offer sacrifice to demons? As the world races toward the abyss of eternal damnation and we keep silent out of fear, we cannot say that we love our neighbor.
