“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written:” (Romans 11:25-26a). As it is written! God made an everlasting covenant with Israel choosing them from all the nations in the world to be His people. And to this day there has been a faithful remnant in every generation professing Yeshua as their Lord, being filled with the Holy Spirit and rejoicing in the benefits of a new life in Christ (Messiah). Yet there will come a time when all of Israel will be saved, not every single person, but the nation as a whole will be saved. What a glorious day that will be for all those living upon the earth.
We know something of the timing. Their blindness will last “until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.” Without getting into a large debate about election, it should be clear that God knows in advance who will accept His Son Jesus Christ as the true Messiah. We also know from Scripture that during the Great Apostasy many will turn away from trusting and obeying Jesus Christ as their Lord, leaving only a faithful remnant among the Gentile nations. When the fullness of the Gentiles is concluded somehow the blindness of Israel will be lifted and all will be saved. It appears that the coming Antichrist will hold sway over all nations, but unable to penetrate the nation of Israel. God help the nations that come against the nation of Israel or her people still living throughout the world for they will indeed find that they are fighting against the one true all powerful God. From the smallest country that sits on the land bridge between the East and the West will come forth the mighty hand of God to smite the nations.
As the Muslim terrorists strike against the Jewish people living in other parts of the world, Israel has lifted her hand beckoning them to return as immigrants from the Diaspora and resettle in the Promised Land. From the re-birth of Israel they have sought peace with their neighbors saying, “let us live in harmony together,” but there has not been any peace. Although the wall of hostility has been broken down between the true Christian believer and the Jew (See Ephesians 2:14), many Christians in the past have maintained the wall of hostility, which led the nation of Germany under Hitler in an attempt to destroy all Jews. Even today people and nations, primarily among the Muslims, are calling for the extermination of all Jews and the destruction of their homeland.
Israel one day may find herself standing completely alone against the many people and nations planning her annihilation. Perhaps this might be the very kingpin that will open their eyes to see her true condition before a Holy God. It may be the very thing that will humble an entire nation to accept Yeshua as their Lord. If Israel saw great miracles in her past as she stood alone against insurmountable odds, they will look like nothing in comparison to what they will see in the future when they may very well be standing against Satan himself in the embodiment of the Antichrist. “Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army” (Revelation 19:19). Let me be very clear that all the Kings of the earth will follow the beast (Antichrist). As the Apostasy grows the Antichrist will come into focus for all true believers to recognize.
When Israel accepts the true Messiah it will become a blessing to the entire world. “How much greater riches will their (Israel’s) fullness bring!” (See Romans 11:12) As an entire nation returns to God believing in His Son as the true Messiah sent two thousand years ago they will soon discover true peace. They will learn that true peace begins in the heart between God and man. After many years of trying to make peace with their Muslim neighbors and the backsliding nations of the West without having a true peace with God will finally reveal its futility. Think of the Palestinian Christians who will embrace their new Jewish brothers in Christ as the wall of hostility comes tumbling down and new relationships are cemented. Think of the Christian remnant worldwide who will rejoice in their deliverance while the threat of their persecution drives them deeper underground.
So let me conclude this article by saying that if you are a true believer in Christ then you should be standing with the nation of Israel even if it means standing against the administration of your own country. Dear friends, please do not be afraid to speak up and speak out for the nation of Israel who is still God’s chosen people and under His divine protection, because of the everlasting covenant and His faithful remnant who believe in Yeshua as their Lord.
